So I have been on this POF site for a little less than a month and almost every girl that messages me has either been not attractive, not ambitious, or generally creepy. I finally met a girl that I actually think I can really connect with but I am not sure how to go about this. We messaged back and forth and the last 2 messages we had were these. What do you guys think the best way to proceed would be? ----------------------- ME: Ok, so between the AAA comment earlier and that last message you just sent, you have successfully laughed me out of my chair. Congratulations, I guess we are even. Judging from this conversation, you seem like you would be a really easy person to talk to. I think you are well spoken and you seem to have a big heart. Since I feel confident you won't kidnap me, let's meet up, have some fun, and learn more about each other. Why don't you give me your number and when I have some time this week, I will give you a call and we can figure out a day that works for both of us. Her: That sounds good but I'm not thuroughly convinced you won't kidnap me... you've got me at least 80 lbs and a half a foot in height. And I am all those things you so wittingly pointed out. --------------------------------- From the previous messages, we have built great rapport but obviously not enough to get her number. I really would like to meet her and while far from desperate, I am nervous that if I push too hard I won't get to meet this potentially awesome person. Good advice would be appreciated. I understand the frustration of finally meeting someone halfway sane after so many crazies, but you can't put her on a pedestal, man. Cliché or not, you're the prize, remember? Anyway, I'd get some humour in there to lighten the mood and establish some comfort. Perhaps... "Damn, you're right. I could probably pick you up under my arm like a football and run to my house in no time." or "I guess I'll have to use my empowering skills of seduction... ... I got nothing." |
