Curious for feedback. The profile has been up for 1 week (1/1/12) or so and I have sent out roughly 190 messages and received just about 50 responses. Maybe the problem is what I am messaging them...or both. Here is the meat of the profile:

About me
If I were an actor I would be John Malkovich. I think his charisma stems from being at total peace with his dark side, and his feminine side, which allows him to express himself with an honesty and a clarity that many men lack. If I were a rock star I would be Jim Morrison, because he embraced chaos and perversion and never tried to be anyone but himself. On a personal note, volunteering with underprivileged children is one of my greatest thrills as it gives me a true natural high knowing I am giving back. I also love just taking off in the car and going exploring. I love just pulling up to the beach on an early morning, sit on my $10 beach chair and listen to my iPod as I free my mind. One other thing, I'm not afraid to admit that I occasionally like to watch Sex and the City and find it to be pretty interesting from a guy’s point of view. I think those closest to me would describe me as ambitious, loyal, sarcastic, maybe difficult to deal with at times, quixotic, capricious, affectionate and easily fascinated by life. The one thing I miss from up north (upstate New York), which is where I’m from, is hitting the slopes and competing in downhill ski races. Nevertheless, I’ve found my fill of adventure in Florida and would love a partner in crime.

Who I am looking for
I guess the woman that I am looking for is somewhere between a thrill-seeker and a couch potato. She isn't afraid to jump in a car and just drive with no destination planned, won't get aggravated when I lead us 200 miles in the wrong direction, and will laugh when I say something unintentionally stupid. As I mentioned, I do volunteer work around Delray so it would be great to meet someone who does volunteer work or is at least willing to give it a try. At the end of the day, I am just hoping to meet a girl who can discuss the world around her, is looking for something more serious than just one date, and will cuddle on the couch and laugh at Family Guy episodes with me. Will you be my partner in crime? If the answer is yes than send me an email and let's get lost together.

There is an abundance of hb8,9 and 10 on match. I'm sure, as with any online dating site, a few are fake profiles, but nevertheless you would be pleasantly surprised. I do agree with what others have said regarding the fact that more effort is required to get responses. I've set up 3 dates in the week I've been online, first one being Thursday. I still think I'm missing something.
