| Post subject: | How to avoid the awkard conversation pause |
Yesterday, I met my old friend from same school we were together till 5th standard all though she was good friend of mine till 5th. But after she changed school we didn't have any contact.BTW I am in college now...so,it was like this, i was at a doctors place in the waiting room and she was sitting at another corner of room...although I tried making eye contact but she was not doing so.also the place was full of people,pin drop silence prevails...and if I would talk to her (not talked for 8-9yrs) it would be complete awkward. So I just went outside and waiting for her to come outside after her appointment.By the time she came outside I called her name(I remembered )and she with same high energy recognized me and the name...she mentioned she remember me...we talked for 10-15 minutes although good conversation she asked for my number too and I insisted that we should hangout sometime. Everything went well but I wasn't able to make it smooth as awkward pauses prevails when we run out of topic.also the reason she left quite earlier is because of that fucking pause. Guys suggest how to prevent these pauses in day game. P.S - she is 8.5/9 and its because of situation that I can't be cocky or funny. |
