Sometimes i see a girl, she's alone, and i want to approach her. The thing is, i start thinking she is waiting for a friend or her boyfriend. More so if i see her texting, checking her cell or just looking around everywhere. In that moment i just decide to start waiting, to see if i'm right or wrong. The problem with this of course is that i'm wasting time i could be spending talking with her, instead of just wandering around like a fool waiting for something. I keep thinking that if i go to her right there right now the guy or girl she is waiting will arrive, and it will be just an akward moment, specially if it's a guy. Many times i hesitate a bit too much and she just goes away, or sometimes the boyfriend do arrives. This is a reason why sometimes i think i should approach more groups of girls, the problem is, and this is the second thing, i'm still not very good approaching two or more girls. I know a lot of people suggest talking with the one you are not interested and sort of just saying hi to the other. But the very few times i approached groups i mostly focused on the girl i liked. I know that talking to all of them makes you look more social, more casual and what not. But i really don't like long ass time consuming routines either. |

The problem people like you make is that you're categorizing these girls as something above a stranger. If you needed directions, you wouldn't hesitate to ask the person closest to you, whether it be a lone female or a group of males. Stop trying to approach with 'picking up' as your motive and start approaching for the purpose of conversation. A bus ride is more enjoyable when you're talking to someone rather than sitting alone. Waiting for friends is more enjoyable when you have someone to keep you company. etc. |
