| Post subject: | Weird accent |
I don't really have one set nationality, it's mixed all over the place, so my accent is pretty mixed up as well. That may be partly why people have a hard time understanding me. The thing is I can fake accents very well, but it's difficult in social situations when you're focused on what you're talking about, not how you're talking lol. Then I was thinking, well I can easily do the British accent, and that one is easy to understand, so why not do it at school. But wouldn't it be weird if I randomly showed up one day with a British accent? Would that make me seem fake? Argh dunno what to do please help. |

Mate, just be yourself. Talk like you talk; don't be nervous, don't be afraid of backlash, speak clearly and in an even tone. That way, everyone will understand you. And secondly, don't pay so much attention to other people's opinion of you. |

i've lived in London and Glasgow for most of my life, man. and it doesn't matter what kind of accent you use, just use one. protip: London accents are easy as all hell to fake. |
