I used to only get this with girls, but its like a disease thats spreading. It seems like i can never think of anything interesting to say. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to get over this? |

Stop worrying about sounding stupid, you shouldn't have to think about what to talk about. Talk about things you like to do, talk about experiences which you can relate to them, hell talk about homework. Point is anything goes. Just be positive about things, no one likes a whiner/negative person.

Funny, I'm in your exact situation so I can tell you what I'm doing. First, I would say that it's key to just go out and try to talk to as many people as you possibly can. No matter who it is or what situation your in, just talk. That way you can get use to talking as much as possible and it will come natural. The second important factor then would be learning to be a good storyteller. See, you don't need an over the top story for it to be interesting. It only needs one interesting part. As Mystery says, you say one interesting thing and people say that's interesting. You say ten interesting things and people will say HE'S interesting. There is a lot of great advice on here for learning how to storytell. Basically, you want to have a short story that highlights one interesting thing (or characteristic about you ideally). String ten of these short stories together and voila. Again, the story can be any story, it's all in how you tell it. Focus on emotions when telling stories as that appeals to women more. Men focus on facts whereas women love and crave emotions. Good storytelling can be a DHV all in itself as well. |

Aside from canned material, most of the pickup arts teaches you the proper way to DELIVER what you have to say, rather than telling you the stuff you should be talking about. Sure, there are "DHV spikes" that tell you to talk about how you are popular with girls, how you are a leader of men, etc. etc., but what themes are you supposed to focus on? I'm sure you can easily compile a list of 10 things that you are passionate about. You could talk about these topics on and on unless you were a passionless robot  . It'd be even easier to compile a list of 10 things men in general like to talk about. If you learn about these topics, conversing with men becomes easy and you never run out of shit to say, provided that you developed at least a little bit of social intuition.Compile a list of 10 themes WOMEN are passionate about, and do a little research on each of these topics. Once you do that, you can talk to women for hours and hours on end. Combine this conversational ability with pickup and you're unstoppable. And, if you haven't already done so, find out what YOU are passionate about. Don't forget to talk about THAT stuff. Conveying passion is an ultimate DHV. |

if you need things to talk about, comment on her shoes, her ear rings, her clothes, her nails, anything. as soon as you get on a topic she likes, you don't have to know what to say, because she will go on and on about it. but remember, don't peck, make little comments of what she says, and throw in a neg when you see fit, be an active listener. Most importantly, be confident and smile! |
