I'll admit that I'm skeptical about all this but I've got nowhere else to go. I found this great girl, she had it all. I've known her for about two years and I've never had the balls to acually ask her out. About 1 month ago one of my idiot buddies told her that I liked her. She hasn't spoken to me since. I don't understand what I did or didn't do. Am I really not worth ONE date? I've been mulling over this and can only come up with the answer, "John, your just not good enough." What should I do?! |

seriously dude,thats the worst attitude you could have. never let another person decide how you feel about yourself.dont let them have that power.its one woman.do you know how many women are out there?and once you get your shit in line,all of them will be lining up to blow you. dont look at it as what you did wrong.its what you havnt done thats the problem.and thats what we are here for.you have so many people here willing to give you the help you need. keep your spirit up man.its the best thing you can do. |

Ok, so you've been pining over the same girl for 2 years?  Give me a sec, i just need to laugh my ass off for about 2 hours. Seriously, speak to her normally, if you've known each other for a fair bit take her out to get a drink or whatever grab something to eat, and just be yourself, that is if you aren't a weird kind of guy. By the way, that defeatist attitude will be the fall of you.

just tell her how you feel and don't let the petty stuff get to you, be honest with her, try not to put her above you, nor out yourself below her. also don't make her feel bad for you. although when telling her you might want to slightly lie about when you started having the feelings. but that is something you would want to wait and tell her so you can play off of her body language. and you never know. she just might feel the same way you do. she might not know how to tell you that she feels the same way. never count yourself out until it's obviously clear, or you are told by her directly that they don't like you. |

To be completely frank, I can empathise totally, having had a similar situation myself a long time ago (afc days for the win! lol). Where there may have been a spark initially, your 'chances' are gone. Your only choice is whether your want to be friends or you want to get it off your chest, and essentially, kinda lose what you had. Its that simple. You have oneitis; my only advice is the show the white flag, and give up on this girl, as hard as it is. There are a couple of billion girls on the planet. READ this forum, and learn some pick-up techniques on approaching, opening etc. Then make posts, asking for help, and then practice your game. Being AFC, you probably think this'll make you 'evil' or 'a slimeball' or whatever, but it couldn't be further from the truth. Even if you eventually take the foot off the pedal actually picking up girls for fun - this stuff will actually increase your confidence socially. This means? Meeting new friends, and more importantly, giving you the courage to talk to and immediately convey interest to a girl you like. There will be no more pining, no lack of balls that puts you in the friendship zone rather than relationship material (cause of your pining i believe), and I can guarantee a better quality of life. Either go and talk to that girl normally, accept your are friends and MOVE ON or tell her how you feel and MOVE ON that way. Either way this ones a dead end.
