Post subject:  Great trick to overcome approaching shyness
Hi,

First of all, my apologize for my imperfect English.

SPOILER: This method WON'T help you if YOU READ IT!!
Let your friend read it and use it to convince you opening a set when the time is right

Until last week, I knew three steps which I'm need to following while my internal dialog is messing with my head:
  • 1. Imagine the internal Dialog as an stupid creature (mine seemed to be Gollum from lord og the rings), then - lock him in a cage, cover it, and throw it to volcano.
    2. imagine the end of the situation as it is for the best side.
    3. Depreciation of the situation significance 0 I'm no gonna see those girls again anyway... who cares?
Those three steps are great for most people! -Sadly, havn't work for me...

What my sarger friend did:

I was sitting on the bar with BandMan,
set2 took chairs two sits left from me.
for 10 minutes (fucking too long) BandMan (who sit at my right), tried to help me overcome the shyness and head on to the the pick up.
I couldn't.
I smoke a ciggrate and told him I'm going to pee and then he told me:
BandMan: "If you leave me here, I will open it and it's your lose"
Sky: "Take it, I can't" and went to pee.
a minute later I came back, that was BandMan's trick:
Sky: "How was it?" giggling.
BandMan: Without enthusiasm pff... leave it, they are just stupid girls...
I was surprised because I didn't thought he will do it
Sky: "What did they tell?"
BandMan: "trying open the set with the "Jealous friend", one of them didn't even responed and the closer one told me just "I don't" and turn back to her freind..."
Sky: "bummer..." looking down
What I REALY thought is I'm such a loser, the outcome could be the same if I was trying, but than I would be the one with the balls... I earnd nothing now: zero expirince (which I needed!) and zero respect...

BandMan: "Unless..."
Heads up.
BandMan: "I did nothing... and you still have chance"
Sky: "Are you serious??"
BandMan: "maybe..."
Sky: "Are you serious??"
BandMan: "I did nothing... go for it"
Sky: "Dam your'e good"
And turned left and open the set2 - I had a great time and much expirince from this set.

When we smoke, we avoind thinking about the possibility having cancer and we keep smoking.
Did you ever met a man who had cancer due to the smoking? they say that if they make out of the occasion htey will NEVER SMOKE AGAIN.

Works basicly the same: if a man losing a chance for something he realy wanted, he will jump at the chance when it hit him again.

we tried it again for other friend - worked great.
