I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get funny. Is there anyone out there whose jokes completely sucked but then they figured out a routine to be more funny? (rarely I can say something funny, but I want to be able to chime in at EVERY point of conversation something funny) I feel I got to do this as a supplement to pick up because being funny just seems so important, not just to pickup, but to being a happy person in general. I know if I really want to get funny I'll get there over time anyway, but maybe somebody can point to what to start with/focus on? |

It may sound weird but I would focus on confidence first. When you are genuinely confident this comes across with a lighthearted demeanor that allows you to make light of different situations. With a confident vibe, when you say to the girl something as simple as "do you think that one would work?" she will giggle because you are coming with a playful attitude. So yeah, if you're confident, lighthearted and playful the "funny" part will usually take care of itself. On the other hand if you "try" to be funny or try to emulate Dave Chapelle or something it can backfire. |

I know if I really want to get funny I'll get there over time anyway, but maybe somebody can point to what to start with/focus on? 1. ask funny/entertaining questions. that's easier than actually trying to be funny. strike up conversations that are fun to talk about. my all-time-favorite question is "if you could go back in time and space, and talk to yourself for only 15 minutes when you were 18, what would you say". a sci-fi question that lends itself to light-hearted comments, yet you can go deep when you have to, e.g. priorities, values of a woman, mistakes she made, dreams she has, etc. if you want another thousand questions like these, send me a PM and I'll send you a link to my mobile app. 2. do funny things. again, that's easier than actually being funny. going rock climbing or cooking on a first date is unique and a fun thing to do. so a girl will associate you with fun activities. that "feeling" is more important than actually being a funny clown like a chris rock or robin williams. 3. look funny. wear t-shirts with cartoon characters on them. bart simpson, ted. donald duck. etc. again, women will feel that you're fun, because of the way you look 4. be funny. pick-up a book on stand-up comedy, or watch some free youtube videos on how to become funny. cheers, |
