Post subject:  Over coming mind-block associated with social anxiety?

Hey so...

I wouldn't say I have full blown social anxiety, but i am painfully shy and I do tend to have some aspects of social anxiety. i get sweaty and nervous n all that, but what I want to ask is does anyone experience a sort of "mind-block"? or like your mind just blanking out when talking with a girl and trying to escalate? Its not that I'm terrible at making conversation, it's just that in the moment, my mind blanks because I keep thinking about what I "should" say rather than just going with it and in the end my mind doesn't focus on responding freely to the situation.

Has anyone else had to deal with this? any tips?

Yes.

What you need to do is to talk to females that you are not attracted to so you can
teach your mind to just talk to females.. period.

Talk to females at the grocery store, clothing store. Just ask them how do you know
if a cantaloupe is fresh.. just ask them something RELEVANT to the situation.

There's something I read that sticks true.

The hotter the female, the more trouble she has for a man coming to talk to her.

If you can just go to another venue, and just start talking to the "hired guns" (bartenders, waitress, etc).
You will eventually find yourself to be more open
when talking with the females that you do have interest in.

It never hurts to have at least ONE/TWO ALCOHOLIC DRINKS in your system before
talking to the females. It relaxes you. Believe me. After those drinks, just start drinking
water, but make sure it's in the same type of glass that your mixed drinks are in.
