So I started getting into the game about 3 weeks ago, and the last 2 weeks I've had pretty good success for just starting out following the MM Drill. I've approached several sets over the last 2 weeks in all kinds of venues (clubs, bars, bookstores etc) and number/email closed a few. I really felt I got over AA really quickly and smoothly. I felt cocky and confident at all times. But today I went sarging alone (I usually go with afc friends) and I just suddenly froze up and couldn't even open one set. I dont know what happened. I hope to put it behind me as just a bad day. I think I just overthought the whole thing too much and didn't concentrate on having fun. It sucked! |

Get yourself pumped before you go out, listen to some ramstein or disturbed or something. Then, once you are actually in the field, just follow the 3 second rule, and don't think about it at all. The only sarging i've done is far enough away from where i live (i live in a large enough city) that i have no fear of seeing anyone i know. Convince yourself that if the WORST possible thing happens, it still won't mean shit. Getting psyched to go sarging is a lot like getting psyched before a football game. |

Amen to that. I just never got in the correct mind set before I stepped in the field; once I was there it was hard to calibrate. I'l get em next time. |

When you feel nervous you have to push yourself to do it. When I get that way I just say hey who cares. Either you fail or you have a great night. If you fail move on and keep gaming. If you pass then well your money regardless. |

A lot of guys I help out have this problem... and the solution is all about changing your mindset. When you go out, it needs to be about you. Not her. Simple. If you get blown out of a set, who cares? You picked up an experience point that you didn't have before. As far as getting pumped up before going out: very important. Pro athletes use a form of self NLP visualization to envision success very specifically. I'd look into it: I use it if I am going to have an especially tricky night out, and it works wonders. If that sounds a little too intense, just repeat this mantra: "I don't give a fuck." |

I completely agree with Zip here! I about had this problem Friday Night! I went out and haven't flown solo in a while. I got into the venue and started to freeze up. I felt the AA floating around in my stomach. Basically, I plowed through it and just opened a set. It's about me having a good time and not those little girls in the club. Secondly, I don't set any expectations for what I want to accomplish while I'm out except for having a great time! |
