In terms of people you look up to that inspire your everyday mannerisms, conversations, and overall personality, who do you look up to and why?

For me personally, I love Alec Baldwin's character on 30 Rock. He maintains a dominant, calm, but still human personality who's just interesting from hearing him say words, let alone anything else.

I've heard a lot of Tyler Durden, although I haven't seen Fight Club, i'll take my bets that's it at the least, a decent movie...:)

Style - intelligent and socially well calibrated
Dexter Morgan - mysterious and humble misanthrope
Don Draper - a real man
Schwarzenegger - persistent and successful
Royce Gracie (UFC champion) - underdog with family values

Nothing can beat the power of a "mixed character".

I combine them. Example: The combination of Tom Cruise, Mysterey and Alec Baldwin.

This goes so far you wont believe.

Try it ;)

Post subject:  Close, but...

You are on the right path in learning skills and character through others.

Two tweaks though:

1. Modelling is misunderstood by 99% of NLP crowd. True modelling (per Grinder) is unconscious.

2. Forget movies and find real people. (Watching Bruce Lee films won't make you a ninja.) You will learn much faster by actually hanging out with truly skilled men (not pus's on the same journey). Interaction is a far better teacher than observation. Focus on befriending them, hang out with them and you will grow to be skilled like them.

WTF... Bro, put your life on pause for a couple hours and go watch Fight Club.

I think there is some unwritten man code that requires you to watch it.
