Post subject:  Good Going out locations in Melbourne

Hi guys,

Im just curious about good places/days to go out in Melbourne. I will return to Aus in a couple of weeks after more then a year away.

Basically, Im young (21) so I dont really remember any good places from before. I kinda had lame friends (something I plan to fix when Im back) but basically all I remember from melbourne is either hanging out in shitty pubs in the suburbs or hanging out in shitty clubs in the city. Pretty much wherever I went I had the same problem, it was filled with 90% guys and the women were all old or fat or both.

I often ran into the other end of the spectrum, where me and some friends would rock up to a club and be turned down because we are guys. If I had girls with me I wouldnt take them clubbing, I would take them to a private party at my apartment, duh.

So basically whats a good, target rich place to go out? I like clubs, good bars etc, not really into pubs (I hate the music and its usually too loud anyway) unless they have rediculus amounts of hot girls but they usually dont.

Things Im looking for:
- Good SPAM (I dont want idiot wogs starting fights with me)
- Target rich (or mediocre, I just want SOME girls)
- I wanna be able to be let in (I dress well so thats not an issue)
- I dont wanna deal with idiots at the door who have ego problems (like the dude who owns CQ) - or if you know how to get into CQ without girls that works too.
- Not too loud (I feel that clubs in Melb have this problem, I want to be able to talk to girls, even if its only a few words, Billboard is particularily bad, I go def in there every time I go)

Sounds like a long list but most clubs overseas tick all these boxes no prob. So far the only places I have been able to find all this is at uni parties, which is fine but they only happen like 3 times a semester and I want to go out more often then that.

Thanks for the help guys

Hi Le Loup,

I know a couple of great bars that fit your criteria. I hate the noisy places as well. Mainly because my techniques rely on conversation not dancing skills.

PM me!
