Post subject:  Psychology Questions for Psychologists

This has got me thinking, After reading some NLP books Im now more aware on what people say and how they say it, some of the things they say have got me thinking..
English in general is a complex language, you can say it in so many different ways for one sentence but what I dont understand is why?

so heres the questions for the psychologist we have in this Forum page:
Lets say I ask a woman where she think is a good bar to go to 'here she will put her suggestions' Ill listen to which bar sounds really cool the Id say oh where is bar XXXXXXXX.....

Now here she can say it in so many ways but depending on how she say it will it determine what kind of personality she has?
Example:
HB: its 2 blocks DOWN then turn right.....
HB: its 2 blocks UP then turn right.....
HB: its 2 blocks OVER then turn right.....

ok now look at the caps here Down, Up, Over... does this determine wether your an optimist or a passimist?

This has been on my mind for sometime because when I hear these words it gets me thinking shit like half full or half empty...
which I perceived it as 'Its filled half way' is there something wrong with me if I perceived it in this way? Am I depressed if I cant see it being full or empty?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be good

well, you can't look at a single time a word was used. try listening to the chick for a while, if you fnd a pattern it might point to something.

Psychology is based in statistically significant scientific research.

NLP and determining people's personalities and learning types through observing their language patterns is not.

You're asking your question to the wrong people, because that's not a psychology question.
