I have watched long and hard at the night clubs when a dancing man looks corny. I have come up with 3 simple rules. 1. If you are not dancing with a woman your feet must never leave the ground. Once your feet leave the ground you look corny. Keep the weight on your toes. Use your hips and the rest of your body to move to the music. This will keep your cool. If you can really move the women will see this and gain attraction to you. You can dance, are not afraid to dance, but are not corny. Remember if your feet leave the ground - you are a corn chip and are loosing social value. 2. If you are dancing with a woman, lift your feet off the ground. Now you are ok to lift your feet. In fact now you need to. A little two step or whatever you like. Now you look cool. Lift you feet, have fun, smile... woman will really be attracted to you. You are with a woman. She is having fun, you are having fun, they want to have fun. If you are the only dude dancing (which is often the case) you are the most fun there. (I spend many nights in the clubs going from partner to partner. Girls push their shy friend up to me to dance. The hot shot girl who doesn't leave the couch is stealing glances. It's a great feeling.) You are a true alpha. You are not afraid of one of society's big fears; dancing. 3. You can lift your feet off the ground when you are dancing solo, ONLY IF YOU ARE HONESTLY FEELING THE MUSIC. The energy you give off when you don't give a fuck and are just dancing is powerful. But you must be honest. If you are doing this to impress people the vibe will be felt and you will looking corny. If you become conscious of yourself, just calm down go back to rule number 1. Then if you catch the spirit again fuck the rest of these wall flowers do your thing... Break these rules at your own risk. I have watch many a man look like a tomato and all he had to do to fix it up was put his feet on the ground and bop to the beat. *Bonus. Don't dance with a girl longer than one song. When the song changes move on. This way you don't look coupled up and the other women in the club know that they will get a chance to dance with you too. You are a cool dude who is just having fun. Simply step away and give the girl a loving tap on the side or thigh while thinking "thanks baby". If you want to keep dancing with her because you have the hottest girl in the place. After each dance just take a step back, then work your way back into close body contact as the new song builds. This will let her know you are will to leave, she has not won you. (this bonus rule is also very good way of leaving conversations. Just dip out when the song changes. It feels natural and you won't be stuck in situations...) |
