I was just thinking the other day about all the mistakes I used to make as an AFC back in the day and how those mistakes with women affected the stance I take at this stage in my life. There was this time back in college, being the super nice guy I was, a girl (HB4...was not my type) warned me that one day I would turn into a jerk because women will break my heart. I thought it interesting at the time, but didn't pay too much attention. So several unsuccessful relationships, missed connections and straight up disses later I began to realize maybe there must be something to this whole "jerk" vs "nice guy" thing. The breaking point occurred about a year ago. There was this girl who I fell hard for because we were so compatible. Beautiful, smart, fun....I damn near confessed my love for her within two months As the story goes, and as you can guess, one day she came up with excuses as to why she could no longer see me blah blah. I knew coming on too strong was the real answer. So that same day, I was like fuck it. I dusted off my little black book (IE went down my phone list) and made arrangements with this girl I used to mess with. We set up to meet at a bar about 45 minutes from where I lived. I drove all the way down there to the bar, and texted her that I had arrived. No response. Found a comfortable place at the bar, ordered a beer, and just watched other people talk. 40 minutes pass still no response. I called her and left a message, "Hey whats up where you at I'm here waiting." Nothing. I waited at that bar for an hour and a half before I decided to go home ......defeated Worst of all it started raining as I'm walking to my car, and fucking bastard I got a parking ticket. Worst AFC moment ever. Since then a really good homie of mine introduced me to the community, and my life has dramatically changed since then. I just wanted to share that. |

Very true swoop. Look at it this way, if it had never happened you may never have found the pick up community. You may still have been an afc now. Now that really would suck.2 hours or so of dissapointment for a life time of limitless possibilities. |

holy shit. i have never and will never have a story anywhere near as depressing as that one. i've been a jerk towards females from the jump off. But im sure when u do find the right girl you will have a much healthier relationship with her than i ever can.

"several unsuccessful relationships" - That doesn't sound like someone with social anxiety. I read your social anxiety post and you said you were an anti-social shut in. Maybe you were just shy because no one with SA can have several GFs lol. I know because i have severe SA and been researching it all my life. I'm starting to overcome it now though by forcing myself to go outside and talk to strangers similar to your story. |
