I'm from South Africa and there English will do. Btw Cape Town is the shit

Ahoy folks, I am spending 3 months-ish in Africa this summer and need to know the best language to learn. I am starting in Morroco then heading down the coast to Cape Town. So yar it would be cool to hear from anyone with experience of Africa got any advice or know which language I should learn. |

Just spent several weeks in Senegal last summer. Many of the West African countries are former French colonies, so French is often the main language. Same goes for Morocco. |

really depends on where you're going to be. Pretty much wherever you go a lot of people are going to know english, and depending on where you are people will either be speaking Swahili or French. |

Swahili will be more for the eastern part of Africa (Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda,....). |
