I'm thinking of getting a motorcycle, does anyone have one? And do you have any tips for a beginner? I was told one of the better starter bikes is the Ninja 250R because its pretty weak and easily controllable

Well maybe you can learn from my mistakes. the first mistake i made was not knowing how to do a sharp turn ( I almost crashed into some

other dude) just practise doing sharp turns or turns in general. The second mistake I made was not knowing how to use the brakes ( I didnt

know which brake was for what wheel so I fell 2 times because i kept on braking with the front brake and your suppose to use the back brake for
braking) so make sure you know your brakes and well thats really all the

things I think you should know other than knowing how to take care of your motorcycle and knowing the street rules for motorcycles.

ANYWAYS GOOD LUCK

That's bullshit. A 250 is a moped for pussies. Start with a 600. My first bike was the 636 ninja and I'm doing fine. A 600 is like a v6 while a 250 is like a fuckin go cart. Make sure you get the 600...if you've got the balls. If not get your pussy ass moped. Go big or go home.

In Australia there is licence restrictions. As Im getting a bike very soon Ive done some research and I want a Hyosung. They can be restricted in power. ie you can have 250cc and when your comfortable/legal to drive 700cc you can have the chip reprogrammed to have the full power.

Plus for a brand new bike they are AU6k-8k. They are a Honk Kong brand which is upcoming, check out their website from google.

just take the MSF course its about 200$ or so and they provide you with a bike to learn on. plus it waves the riding portion of it. I say start with the 600 cc, You'll get use to the 250 within 2 weeks or so and want to upgrade. the 600 cc series is perfect. not to much power but not to little. Take the class cause it will help you out on insurance. Get a used 600 cause i already know you'll drop the bike. been riding for over 5 years now. dont try to go big on your first try. Happy riding

well save up and get a 600 then. I did fine on a 600 cc. You just gotta be aware of the trottle response on the Sports bikes (crotch rockets) its very sensitive and not like the trainer bikes you had on MSF. Its all up to how you do controll yourself. Becareful, Be alert of other people and ride safe bro. Nice to see another rider.

Very important on sport bikes, the FRONT brake is 80% or more of your actual stopping power. If you were to only use the rear when you HAD to stop, you're not going to be able to stop at all. I think what Mag was talking about was that he probably used the front brake while turning. DON't use the front brake while turning. The rear brake can be used as it helps with control during low speed maneuvers but even then, too much will put you down. The brakes are the MOST dangerous controls on the bike. On a crotch rocket I'd recommend not using more than 1 finger on the front brake. you won't need more than that. Good luck
