Does anyone here take body building supplements from GNC, or The Vitamin Shoppe? I'm cautious about taking it becuase of the effects it might have on my body. Is it worth spending my money if its safe? |

haha man dont worry about what people say about supplements. I take amny supplements because its vital to my training, but if your not eating right and working out your wasting money. If you trying to gain muscle, just get a tub of gold standard protein, take in 2 grams of protein per body lb. do not lift everyday. make a rotation of body parts. go to bodybuilding.com for workouts. another supp. to help gain mass is creatine, there have been no side effects found from it and my dr. reccomends it. 1 scoop on not lifting days, 2 on lifting days one morning, one after workout if you are cutting weight the best supp. for that would be meltdown by vpx, I use this to cut weight before my fights, very good thermogenic and has a dose of a "feel good" stimulant that is found in chocalate. remember supplements do just as they say, they are supplemental to a good workout regimen and clean diet. no not that bs hollywood diet, I mean the eat clean white meats and green veggies and fruits. try eating more when your gaining muscle. if cutting weight then its simple calorie intake should be lower than calories burnt throughout the day. Also take some a multi-vitamin and some fish oil, it has awesome benefits. Just pm me if you have any questions regarding fitness, I have alot of knowledge on this. |

agree with supafly... Get some Whey protein in ya. I have 3 shakes a day but eat lots of lean meat, like chicken and stake, and lots of veg. I do 3 full bodywork outs a week, doing rows, bench presses, deadlifts etc and lift heavy. Plus you need lots of rest if your going to make gains. |

There isnt one case where creatine was found to have negative effects. My doctor is very much against supplemental use and he even stated that there is nothing wrong with creatine.

It hasn't actually been proven that taking protein shakes is any better than having a diet with the same amount of nutrients... Its just if you cant afford the food I guess getting the shakes is another alternative, personally I don't touch the stuff. You can get the same value protein from eating food, even drinking dry powdered milk as you would in these protein shakes. |

I use whey protein mixed with water. One pre workout, one post workout. |

Protein is essential. Also, when you want to gain mass, drink carbo during and just after training. 30 mins after training - meal with a lot of protein. I would stay away from everything else than protein and carbo, unless consulted with someone with vast medical knowledge. |

Protein (the bricks) + amino acids (mortar) Use a coffee grinder and throw some flax seed in. sprinkle on, well... anything, really. |

While you pussies are in the gym, my Man-Shake is bringing all your GF's to the yard to drink from my great big-ole' straw.... (sic) Check it... Study a fighting art, it promotes focus & discipline ( much better than being sore and having to eat a lot ), It'll aid you in so many more 'gaming' aspects , in so far as... how much more interesting is it to TEACH an HB how to administer an armbar from a few differnt postures ( KINO...), as opposed to telling her your max curl... and on that tip... fight the urge to 'glam-lift'... there's nothing gay-er than a man with biceps bigger than his calves & a spindly little neck! Stop beefcake 5000 consumption, That creatine shit IS horrible for you... You'd have a healthier liver if you drank a case of 'Beast' for braekfast, and it does wonders for heart attacks under the age of 40. BY and by, sex is the best exorcize... so get to seducing and gaming, cause I think that's your goal, unless any of you guys is Ray Lewis's back-up! Although, if you insist on a healthy diet of anerobic exorcize... PLUUHHEEASE don't be the douche-waffle who hits on gals at the gym. Gracious thanx! And... really fellas, do WHATEVER it takes to make yourselves feel the best YOU can! Maybe that last sentence trumps everything, huh? DK |
