https://uk.celebrity.yahoo.com/gossip/o ... 24032.html Now when I think of a feminist, I believe they are usually the unattractive girls who speak up about it. However, this is Emma Watson, good looking girl, but seems to have joined the feminist movement. I have ran into a few feminists in my day while gaming and I just turned on the intelligence and used it against them. But what does it mean for the men that she is calling out to help her cause? She is running on political correctness and is advocating men to be more "feminine". I am touchy on this subject because women are sometimes seen as ya know, boobs and tits when it comes to a professional worlds Ah boy. |

Talking about women's issues is a way to earn political power for women. It may be that Emma Watson is very ambitious. Alternatively, she may be a true believer. |

Can someone please explain to me why is feminism so hated in America of all places? And why is it so popular despite the hate? I kinda enjoy having rights... |

Very few people are anti-woman's rights.I kinda enjoy having rights... They're typically against bad divorce rulings, ignoring male issues (work place deaths, harsher sentencing, higher homelessness). This place isn't really the location to discuss this stuff though. |

Watson is what I consider a "good feminist" which means she is interested in improving women FOR and WITH men, rather than improving women at the cost of men. Women like Beyonce are the bad kind, the "militant" kind who think its ok to sleep with the hired guard when she's married with a kid. |

It wasn't really inspiring. I seen what she was trying to get at but she didn't address the problem from a male's perspective. All she spoke about was inequality, hinted at the serious problems at inequality in less developed countries(Middle East, India, Africa, etc.) and threw in "the issue is a lot of men equate the word 'feminism' with 'Men haters.' That needs to change", finally it sounded like someone with half a brain was actually going to slice through the main issues with popularised "feminism" and why so many men are against it: Feminism is a form of sexism in itself. It isn't supposed to be sexist or targeted against man, not in it's core, but it's very much become that way. Unfortunately Emma completely missed the mark and didn't scrutinize feminism itself. Feminism has gone amok and needs to be reassessed as a whole if it's to be taken with respect from the majority of men out there. I support equal rights for both men and women. I don't support feminism. It's quite ironic, however... All these so called feminists fighting the "good" fight for women when the reality is most of them only give a flying fuck about the developed world and give a second thought to where it's really needed where it's completely acceptable for people to gang rape women, beat them to a pulp and use them as slaves. That's what pisses me off about today's feminism: It's greed and selfish, totally one sided where women's existing privileges above men are ignored while focusing on stripping away at masculinity as a whole and totally disregarding the biological and psychological needs(Which are influenced by our hormones which I can tell you are NOT the same) of men, most of which make us the way we are. It just seems these feminists would have us all castrated and completely ignore our own masculine tendencies, some of which are totally out of our control! Emma Watson did not address these issues, complete disregarded men as separate to women and blindly insisted that men "get on board" for the simple reasoning of "Men look at women sexually" <---- You could boil it down to this in it's simplest form. The majority of feminists need to realise that, just as women, we are very different both mentally -- and not dictated by the superego(Morals dictated by parents upbrining and societies) -- and physically. |

I saw a great Youtube comment on this video: "I find it funny that gender equality basically means men having to give up everything that's made us identify as men on a base level for the past few thousand years. Guess what? Men and women are different. There are some things men do better than women and vise versa. AND THAT'S OK. This whole thing isn't about equality. It's about female superiority. If it weren't why are men the only ones being asked to act against our inherent nature? No one is telling women they have to emote less, or find a way to do more physically demanding labor, but men are being asked to not be masculine, as to make those who aren't masculine feel comfortable. I can't be the only who sees this as problem." |

This quote is garbage. Feminists hate other women who act "too girly" or who want to just settle down and have a family. To feminists, the greatest crimes a modern day female can commit are:"I find it funny that gender equality basically means men having to give up everything that's made us identify as men on a base level for the past few thousand years. Guess what? Men and women are different. There are some things men do better than women and vise versa. AND THAT'S OK. This whole thing isn't about equality. It's about female superiority. You are bringing down women by not helping to fill every corporate environment with strong females. 2. Avoid being promiscuous. This means you are not comfortable with your sexuality, you are still oppressed by the patriarchy. There is a reason why there are so many female anti-feminists. Feminists do not support all women, they only support women who do what they say to do. |

Okay so you're saying that feminists are ALSO asking women to act against their inherent nature. Hardly makes the quote in its entirety garbage, does it?
So the quote is only half-garbage...? |

I know I can be respectful towards women without being sexist and while still not hiding my sexual intents. Women who don't like me being masculine can search for a wussy in their friend-zone, turn lesbian, or die alone, because I'm not going to waste my time trying to fix their stupidity. There are plenty of normal women. Feminism also has a pretty broad scale, from the modest to the militant so there is absolutely no point in bashing the movement itself. |

There's nothing wrong with women's rights, and if you truly endorse the idea that women should be free to enjoy sex, and not be shamed as sluts for liking it (e.g. HAVE AN EASIER TIME WITH PICK UP), then it should be in your benefit to accept the truth that yes, men and women ARE equals, and DO deserve equal rights. Sadly, this idea is still fairly young in our socially conditioned world, and it's either taken out of context by rampant extremists, or completely shunned by closed-minded twits. Anyway, in regard to Emma Watson, she's correct, and I fully agree. I'm GLAD she addressed the fact men ALSO suffer from social inequality. I'm GLAD she's defining feminism as it should be, EQUAL RIGHTS. And I support her fully. Sadly, I feel that despite her attempts to redirect the masses, the majority of people will misconstrue what she said and in fact, misuse it for whatever purpose. Don't expect idiots to understand nuanced points. |

Fine with me. The more males who are feminine (and this number is growing by the minute - just look around), the more women who will be available for men like us, starving for the yin to their yang. No words are going to reverse millions of years of evolution.
