| Post subject: | General advice(Hipster girls)/reflection on current status. |
My gf and I broke up about a month ago. It was the cleanest break up possible, but it was done in such a shitty way and so sudden it kinda fucked with me. Plus with other bull shit that occurred I was in a bad place for that period. I've recently been getting back into the field and an old youthful interest (that I didn't know what it was called till recently) which is hipster girls. I was fascinated with beatniks, rat pack esque culture and music for such so long. I wore suits, fedoras, I was immersed. As I grew older that sort of interest has been there, but my style and dress grew to more basic general clothing as well as my interest in bland 'music' such as the radio. When I got into game, I began to explore, go out more, try new things. My gf was a hipster. Normally I fail with hipsters, but with her was a combination of being just intellectual enough to peak her interest. Man/bro enough to differentiate myself from her previous bad relationships with hipster guys. And just social enough that when we went out (she was a hermit) there was always interaction happening, leading us to new exciting things. (She knew about me and PUA) This encounter with her re-sparked a lot of old interests I had when I was younger. I am ever changing, but what I'm posting here for to get some advice in how to present myself better to these varying subcultures. I don't want to become these cultures. I really don't consider myself apart of any real subculture other than this community. So to present myself is difficult other than in sports bars and clubs. I find those girls bland though which I am trying to distance myself from. Most of this is a reflective rant, but down to brass tacks just looking for some general advice with hipster girls to present myself without coming off as a tool pretending to be a part of their group. If more details are needed to give proper advice please feel free to ask. |
