Hey guys, I'm new here and stumbled across this forum seeking help. Holy damn, this site could have saved me so much stress. I'm a senior in high school, have no problem with confidence, think I look alright, good amount of male and female friends but I've only dated one girl. I think one of the biggest reasons is my hobby and my passion, fashion. Due to the nature of the beast, people generally assume I'm a pansy or I'm gay. It sucks. Don't get me wrong, I don't go prancing around like Elton John in sparkles or Richard Simmons in a uni and boa- I dress like the typical guy but a bit more "clean cut" in well fitted jeans and good shoes. Any advice on keeping the hobby but losing the persona? I can't give up what I love but I guess I could tone talking about it a bit. |

It sounds like you've got a clean-cut character down. Now go out and try different things. Maybe a hiphop fashion, or something still dressy but a bit more punk. Add little bits of flavor to what you wear like Mystery's peacocking. Some other guy on this forum gave me the advice of always standing out a bit and never dressing like everybody else at the bar. You could try modelling your fashion for the evening after this. |

Maybe people would prefer you be who you are and own it rather than hide from it or try to deflect attention away from it. Your boy, 870 |
