Oh man, you're a Brit. Ok, well go to the store and see if they have something similar, if these people don't do the intl. thing. A barber or hair trimmer that's corded/cordless.
Leg and arm hair, use the number 2 attachment.
It's cordless so you can use it outside, in the shower (don't get it wet), etc.... It's also got a taper head, which is perfect for trimming eye brows, removing stomach hair, etc.. And unlike shaving, no ingrown hairs.The only thing I shave is my face, the back of my neck and my nuts.
