Or do you believe that it's just an issue with one or the other person, and that the problem could always be solved?

People like healthy people. If someone is missing their lower half of their body, they would be incompatible with me. I don't care how good they are with their mouth.

I agree, there is no reason for healthy people to be incompatible with healthy people.

As for unhealthy people with issues, there's not really much one can do.

even if you take health out of the equation people are very different. There will always be lots of people you meet in your life that you dont have sexual chemistry with. Most people you meet you wont have sexual chemistry with but thats okay because the ones you do have chemistry with will be worth waiting for. Hope that helps

In short yes. People can be very incompatible even if there is mutual attraction, and it's not always possible to solve that. It comes down to preferences.

I ask this because this is what my Ex believed; however, I never agreed with her. I thought we could make things work out. This isn`t why we broke up, but it definitely played a significant part in it.
