Hey guys.. So about 2 weeks ago.. I brought home this chick to study at my house. I was showing her around my house and we went into my room and my roomate was on my computer looking at porn.. He wasn't wanking or anything. He's deaf and didn't hear us come in.. I was so fucking embrassed. Does anyone know how to block all porn sites cuz I don't want that happening again.. Plus those sites can really screw up the computer.. thanks guys |

Instead of blocking the sites (which I think might be a bit of a draconian measure) just send him a text message or something when your on your way back with a girl to let him know not to have porn on the computer  to protect yourself from various virii and such things, try downloading free applications like SpyBot and AdAware and things of that nature.Funny story mate, made me smile  - Memento |

aahhahahhahahah ..... a deaf roommate watching porn... this is classic.... I would make a dhv story out of this... example So i have this girl with me and we have wonderful night filled with blah blah blah blah and Im taking her to m house to cook her dinner blah blah we go to my room and there my deaf roommate that doesn't know we came in watching porn blah blah. Could turn out to be a good story lol But thanks for the good laugh!!!!! |

LOL. Good story. Personally, I only see a problem if the GIRL had a problem with it. Most of them like porn anyway, not that she was going to go over there and sit down and join him, lol, but they like porn. Now, if what he was doing made her uncomfortable, then I'd worry about it and send him a text as was suggested, but if she didn't worry about it, you shouldn't stress over it. |

I would tell my roommate to stay the hell off my computer. He doesn't have his own? I could see him using it for school or something, but to look up porn is rediculous. |

Don't beat him up over it, like Trivial said, use it as a DHV. Use it as ammo against your target, not as a baseball bat against your roomie. You could run a '..what's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you this year...' routine. I'd run with this one

You can always make a joke by saying, "Some people just don't know how to get a real girl" or "Some people have no class, ya know?" and if she says something about how she likes porn, then you can shake your head while smiling and saying, "You would" and if you're at that point you can take her in your room and throw on a movie and be like, "Oh, I thought that's what you meant when you said a movie!" and then move into kino and making out. |

In this specific situation, consider it like a wingman. Specifically what I am saying is do not DLV your roommate. The same rules apply. You will DLV yourself. You certainly need to de-escalate the situation though. "Good thing we did not come in five minutes later" give a smirk and continue on. Handling it later with your roommate is up to you but I think he did nothing wrong. |
