Ive been a member of this forum for...oh maybe a week? And the following are my observations. (Im also posting this at Stylelife and a few other forums) For some reason, a community that was once full of fraternization and companionship has turned into the exact counter-culture of which it was designed to be a polar opposite of. We are all acting like immature AFCs "Oh Ive been sarging since 05 and now all these kids see the show and they want to learn, but Im too good to teach them" Since when did we become so greedy? We complain that Mystery and Style sold us out, but we are doing the same to our new bretheren. I and aswell as a few of you who have been in the game for awhile have a wealth of knowledge and technique to share. Some of you are still here and Im sorry if this offends you. Others have stopped posting, but I know you still read. So maybe noobs dont know how to search. But Im sure when you started posting neither did you. What we must realize is this, The Public eye is fixed on us right now, but soon it will move away and we'll be free to use canned lines, original lines, go into clubs half naked whatever again soon. Afraid of getting called out? Then sit at home and practice till the heat dies down. Its like a big jewel thief, He did some big jobs and has lots of money, but now they are really cracking down. Does he keep stealing? NO he waits till they forget about him. The show JUST ended last week, give it time, the reruns will be done in about 3 weeks. I personally started to learn the art because I hated those Macho guys in high school who thought they were the shit. I always knew I was better than them, and now I can prove it. Everyone has different reasons for starting, but it all comes down to the same main theme, self-improvement. So people are coming to us screaming "HELP ME" and we are saying no because he found us by watching a TV show? what the f*** is wrong with us... |

you dont understand what happened, its been like this since the show started, and everyday its the same post by different people i want to get laid, help me is this an IOI? how do i DHV? the search button is there, if you dont know how to use the search button or care to learn how, then how do you expect to undergo a process that will take months if you cant do something that will take minutes???? |

I will answer any question that has value and that isn't just about getting laid or isn't easy to find by searching. If I know they can search it, then I tell them to search, no harm, no foul, I was there once too when I first got here the site looked intimidating. I made a whole thread for anyone who has questions and wants legitimate answers and wants to hear the answers to questions other people have asked, because I'm tired of getting PMed about valid questions that everyone should have the answer to. I don't care how you got here, just as long as you want to learn and don't just want to fuck as many girls as you can fool, but want to make actual connections with people. |

honestly, your post has many good points... but it's not the pickup that changed, it's not even the technique... it's the forums, and they are changing. That is a fact. Do I have a problem with newbs??? NO, and i didn't know how tho use the search button when i started either. I will not terriorize newbs for being newbs, or idiots, or anything. It's just that when i see the same post posted over and over again... I just won't answer. Sometimes i just ignore all those posts with common titles. Especially on questions that if you READ the books, you won't need to ask. Yes, we all have one common goal, to pickup women... but the underlying role is whether you are learning it to help yourself... or learning it so you can harm others. |

Lucky - good points, we are all here for the same thing, and you have a good practice. I myself ignore posts that can be answered by reading the books. I myself feel you have to read and study before entering a community. I wouldnt join a car repair forum to learn from all of them how to repair cars, Id read first and then have them help me  Nova - You're right Do you know if there is anyway to contact our MOD? |

Yeah, I wish there was someone to easily just say "hey, lock this stupid thread, its just a flame war" or delete or move stuff in the wrong sections. There have been some threads that definitely need to be stickied as well *coughmythreadcough*

I'm not going to act like I'm some guru of knowledge. I've only been here a month, but in that time I studied damn hard and asked questions when I was stuck on intermediate level concepts. I understand the theory portion very well and thus can analyze very good for newbies. But my practice is very slow and weak. But, A simple questions I've asked/answered with in a lot of threads has always been. xfman is i assume the main manlol j/k, but how do we even know who the mods are? I think he is used to the forum being self sustaining but with the recent influx of newbs he needs to issue badges |

Next time when you see a flame war... please send me a PM with the link of the thread... There are too many new posts everyday and remember Brad (the admin) and me (just a mod) have a real life and we are not always reading all the posts... So please nest time you see a bad post or you see a really good post send me a PM so I can easily remove or place it as a sticky. I'm going to talk with Brad about adding a new section like the Best of... so we can add the best posts... So if you want to help , you can send me PM with quality posts and whenever you see a Thread that should be locked or deleted please PM me and let me know. We are having like 200 posts per day or maybe even more ... So lets collaborate to have a great forum |
