The term "wingman" stems from the short story "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" by Richard Matheson which was later adapted to an episode of "The Twilight Zone" by the same author.

Well, according to The Game, Style traced it back to Top Gun for obvious reasons. Why do you think it came from that book?

Haha yeah it came from top gun... don't you think the term wingman was used before the 1990's?

This is a dead fact. This is just where the term came from, doesn't mean it was used in the pick up world then.

Just a random fact from your pal Purity
