Post subject:  Body Language

Something that can help you with reading body language. You can do this in your home and its so simple. Turn down the volume on the TV and study what is going on. Watch the actors and try to figure out what is being said and try to follow the conversation.
Another practice session- Go to the mall, airport, club, any place that there is a large gathering of people and just watch them. See who LOOKS like they aren't having fun, look at what they are doing and not doing. Look at the people having fun and see how open their body language seems to be. Watch the people as they get off work and see them go from hunched up, closed and quiet (if they hate their job) to some what more open as they leave the job and all the crap of the day behind. Watch kids in the park, but not as a stalker. Kids gestures are much more open and you can gage what adults do by them. Adults have learned to be more subtle about their gestures, but still show the signs they did as kids. Such as trying to hide their mouth when they lie as a kid can now, as an adult, be just putting a finger somewhere near their mouth.
PU teaches us to be aware of OUR body language when approaching women, but you have to watch their body language to see how well you are doing, are they open to approach, their mood, etc...
Watching when your perfecting your game is as important as what you put into your verbal skills.

Great tips..

That being said, relying too much on body language cues or first impressions can be as much of a double edged sword as attempting to predict the weather. Much of ones success is based upon experience, mood and chance.

Human nature suggests we like people who are most like ourselves. By using this simple fact we can attract people to us, but it can also shut out a large part of the general population in regards to ones personal development, and as far as ones social opportunities. What I'm saying is if you're never willing to stray outside the box of your own personal comfort level and experience occasionally, then you shut out a lot of very interesting people and a lot of opportunities. One of the ways of doing this is not relying entirely upon the superficial to make a judgment about or to label other people in a social context.

Extremely true, open set with everyone in the room and get the great experience of meeting and getting to know more than you could ever expect. Body language, in the beginning, can help you understand the mood someone is in and you can adjust your approach to meet their mind set. Never pass up a chance to meet anyone, any place, anytime.
