I've been looking at pictures, reading field reports, and so on for a number of PUA sites for about two months now, and something that has been bothering me is the variance in the personal scales from HB7-HB10. Let me elaborate... Say for example, I was out in a club with my friend/wingman who just opened some 3 set or w/e and I, not them, could tell he was definitely into them. Say for example he evaulated them each as a HB8, HB8, and HB10 and in my mind, the two HB8s were not even on the scale and the HB10 might not even make an HB7. I have read numerous times that certain routines, c&f lines, openers and such only work on certain levels of HB i.e. some ridiculously blunt c&f lines and negs are most likely only to be tried on HB9-10s. Also the same with certain approaches, not necessarily canned material, that would not work when said to an HB9-10. Now for the question. Say a girl was, for all intents and purposes, an HB 7. Now if me and my friend were trying to pick her up, him with the mindset she was an HB9 and me thinking she wasn't even an HB7 but simply wanted to game her for some unknown reason. Our games would be different, in my mind (which this is where I could be comlpetely wrong making this thought irrelevant) one strategy would work and the other would fail. Bringing up the thought that there should be a standardized grade of HB7-10 so people don't read an article with the disclaimer saying "only attempt on HB10s!" and in their mind use the line on a girl who was really a HB7 and have them get slapped in the face or something. Or maybe does the HB7-10 simply have to do with how the girl percieves herself? I dont know, thoughts appreciated. |

I look at it this way: We all like and are attracted to certain things. Blond, brunette, redheads, tall, midgets, white, black, or whatever........ If I find her an HB 10 and you an HB7, who do you think is more nervous on the approach - same chick right? Switch roles.... Me - I couldn't give 2 shits about breast size - I really couldn't. Maybe her chest makes her an 8 for you but she has a bigger ass - thats a deal breaker for me and thus she would be a 5 or 6. Does it matter? Not in my book - guy writes a story about getting his HB9 - I am happy for him because I know how excited I was/am to get my HB9. The only standard we all really have to meet is our own. I go into a bar and my wing sees a woman "Hey look at that HB9" (he likes dirty stock and I can not for the life of me see what he sees in many women) - I see a 5. Do I work her because he thinks she is hot? NOPE! I only need to make me happy and if I compromise on that - it kills inner game imo. Now I would then become his wing if he wanted to work her - just that I couldn't for me is all. |

You're exactly right at the end...the type of material you use is dependent on her view of herself. Try thinking of ways of saving on lines that backfire. That way you'll at least know how a girl sees herself if you save the set and you'll be able to build the rest of your game on this knowledge. |

I have been thinking about that too. I probably think it should be ranked based on a girls personal view of herself because I experience that sometimes when you neg an HB7 and lower too much or too direct that sometimes they just shutdown or overload for that matter. And it also messes up my inner game because I start seeing myself as this terrible person. What I do though is I try to make it subtle as possible. |

If Style went too far with a neg he'd use a compliment straight away after to balance it out. That said, I'm not sure I entirely trust him. Has anyone tried this? |

In theory your friend should have a better chance of closing if he treats an HB 6 or 7 like a 10 because then the HB will relish in the fact that a guy thinks she's the hottest girl in the place even when she knows she's not. just make sure when you're friend puts on his beer goggles he doesn't throw any negs out about their looks or he'll be feeding himself to the sharks |

It is all perception. Take an HB10: -If you act like she really is an HB10,then she's an HB10. -If you treat her like an HB7,then she is an HB7. If you think you're right,you're right.If you think you're wrong,you're also right. Get da drift? P.S:Somewhere on this forum,this term was used: HB5. ...since when are 5s HBs?lol. |
