Was thinking on this last night. Learn from Bruce Lee.

Lots of followers out there - we hear it all the time "Mystery vs Jefferies" "DD vs Mystery" etc. Style mentions it in his book - about how guru's would fight over people using or sharing "their" methods.

Bruce Lee went thru the same in martial arts. He was pressured into one stye but resisted - he used whatever when ever to get the job done.

My philosophy is to be like Bruce - use what ever from whomever to get the job done. Routines, openers, magic, the cube etc - these are all tools. Tools that can be used in any combination to get the desired result. Be comfortable with each so you can transition seamlessly. Be like water - become your game as the situation dictates. Do not constrain yourself with one set routine or method. Learn them all and use them as ingredients. Learn why each works and then you can improvise - be formless. Fit the situation. Many crash and burn after the opening because they had a checklist in their head - they hit 1,2, and 3 but the answer to 3 didn't follow the list - there is no 4 for the answer or response they got for 3 so they freeze and burn. Got to be able to adapt and overcome.

Thats enough philosophy for today............

Kudos once again my brotha. Of all the people I have taught, and all the lectures I have given to people who were seeking to improve themselves, this is by far the best advice I have ever given. I'm glad to see that you understand not only the methodology and the science of self-improvement, but the philosophy behind it as well. The human animal is capable of so much more than simple memorization and mimicry of "styles"; however until one realizes this truth, they will be confined to a world of rigid, choppy behavior. As opposed to the enlightened mind who flows - as our friend Bruce says - like water.

Thanks gentlemen. To be completely honest the PUA thing isn't about women for me. Its philosophy. The inner game is much more important to me than the end result, than the magic tricks, or than the "closing".

I am scaling back any and all PUA activity. I am tired, burned out and ready to simply spend some time in self examination. Maybe take up Akido and yoga.

My copy of "The Game" is the leather cover with gilded edges - around page 180 -200 or so Style talks about the game running his life, about Mystery's suicidal thoughts. What many here are forgetting (it seems to me) that while running the game can be fun in itself it's still only a tool to get to know someone. Don't forget PUA routines only get you in the door - they aren't a basis for a relationship - inner game and a very true sense of self worth is what sustains a relationship. Nice guy is not a BAD thing. Much confusion on that subject I believe.

PUA should be to find a woman to spend time with, in a committed relationship. (at least for me it is). To people I know love running the game just to run - have fun and keep going but sooner or later all you have is a pink shirt and a pile of numbers. When you find someone - take care of them.

Leave whomever you are with in better condition than you found them.

I am now 30, been married in the past and traveled the world, speak 3 languages, been to 1/2 of the United States (to include 2 county fairs). It's time to simply work on the inner game, use the tools when it's necessary to find that "one" but a "body count" doesn't do it for me any more. An AFC isn't a guy who isn't working but one that doesn't know how. Never assume that because a guy isn't working he don't know how or if a woman is going along she doesn't know EXACTLY what you are doing. Women are not that dumb.

I too, hold strong interests in anything of the philosophical nature. Which fortunately enough, is almost anything in life, except for the wretched bullshit of pop-culture and things of the sort. The game has always been about self-improvement for me and will remain so. Early in my high school years I was fortunate to experience more than my fair share of women, life-threatening experiences, and chemically altered mind states to last me a lifetime. (Perhaps not?) Anyway, I realized fairly early into life that anything can be taken into your reality and applied for beneficial purposes; the good and the bad alike. PUA methodology is no exception, and though I still enjoy banging the hottest bimbo I can find, I fully support your stance on the subject. There is more to it than the magic tricks and the routines, it is a tool to be used to both your mine and your world to a variety of different people that you could have possibly never met. And though, like I said, I enjoy the strictly sexual relationships at this point in my life, I remain fully aware that when certain mentally, physically, and spiritually stimulating females come around that they should be cherished and treated with the highest level of respect imaginable. I also, unfortunately, realize the true stupidity and ignorance of a rather large portion of the population and will only try so hard to leave those women better than how I found them. Am I an asshole? It's certainly possible. However, thats just me.

Oh, and I enjoyed my time learning both Yoga and Aikido. I highly recommend both, all martial arts in fact. BE WATER MY FRIEND!
