For those who don't think that women like sex, want sex, crave sex....consider the math: The population is roughly split 50% males 50% females. Every time a man sleeps with a woman, a woman sleeps with a man. Draw your own conclusion.... |

Draw your own conclusions. ![]() A study of sexual and romantic relations at a high school found students connected by long chains, rather than in a tight network with a core group of a promiscuous few. Sharing of partners was rare, but many students were indirectly linked through one partner to another and another. The unexpected result could help shape strategies for combating sexually transmitted diseases among young people. "We went into this study believing we would find a core model, with a small group of people who are sexually active," said James Moody, a professor of sociology at Ohio State University. "We were surprised to find a very different kind of network." In the most striking chain, 52 percent of the romantically involved students were connected in a manner of student A having relations with B, and B having relations with C, and so on down the line over the 18 months of the study. Students couldn't possibly know of all the connections, the scientists conclude. "Many of the students only had one partner," Moody said. "They certainly weren't being promiscuous. But they couldn't see all the way down the chain." The study was detailed in a recent issue of the American Journal of Sociology. Peter Bearman of Columbia University and Katherine Stovel of the University of Washington participated in the research. The work was based on the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, a 1995 survey of students at an unidentified Midwestern high school. The students were mostly white, in the only public school in a mid-sized city more than an hour away from a metropolis. Of about 1,000 students at the school, 832 were interviewed and asked to identify their sexual and romantic partners over the previous 18 months. Just more than half reported having sexual intercourse, a rate comparable to the national average, the researchers say. Of all the pairings, 63 involved two students who had not partnered with anyone else. The research reveals a semantically complex rule that seems to guide adolescent sexual conduct. Here goes: A girl is loath to date her old boyfriend's new girlfriend's old boyfriend. Adults don't generally adhere to any similar rule, so core populations of sexually active adults tend to be prime spreaders of disease. But with adolescents, the study suggests, "there aren't any hubs to target, so you have to focus on broad-based interventions," Moody said. |

If they wanted it as much as you horny boys you wouldn't be reading this sentence. You would be banging. Right now. End of discussion. |

From the good folks at the Kinsey Institute: 3% of men have had zero sexual partners since the age of 18, 20% have had 1 partner, 21% have had 2-4 partners, 23% have had 5-10 partners, 16% have had 11-20 partners, and 17% have had 21 or more partners (Laumann, Gagnon, Michael, Michaels, 1994). 3% of women have had zero sexual partners since the age of 18, 31% have had 1 partner, 36% have had 2-4 partners, 20% have had 5-10 partners, 6% have had 11-20 partners, and 3% have had 21 or more partners (Laumann, Gagnon, Michael, Michaels, 1994). Discuss. |

"Want, crave, like" does not equal "practively searching" for sex (at least not the way men like to define "proactively search".Men go out and hunt for it. Society gives us free reign in this department right? Which is why I don't understand why so many guys sit on their asses all day long when society generally thinks it's cool for the guy to go out and engage, meet, and befriend women. Our society actually "supports" this . . . And women . . . of course women want and like sex . . . are you kidding? Don't you have any booty calls who call you up and go, "I need to come over now!" or "Come over now!" . . "I'm so horny now!"??? Women sit around and fish for sex only because for them to fit in, they have to do this, do that, think this, and act that . . . pretend that they only fuck out of love, pretend they live in a Disney movie, etc . . . Once you figure out the "role" that any particular girl is playing in her little script, you can basically work your "role" into it. Then you play out the script. Women ALWAYS play along with scripts . . . it's really their reason for living. |

In my experience women have more sexual partners but roughly the same amount of sex. So guys will sleep with the same girl a couple of times (whilst single) where as women seem to have multiple partners for shorter amounts of time. When it comes to relationships I think it is equal. |

I think women have more sex and sexual partners because they have more options. As Chris Rock says "everytime a guy is being nice to you he is offering dick, we men have to fend for ourselves, women only count the boyfriends they have had sex with not the random guy they met at the bar 2 weeks ago". |

well, as a slut said once, if you're a girl and you want sex at any night of the year, the chances you'll get it are really big.... |
