Thundercat's Ridiculously Lauded and Canonized List is Up: http://www.thundercatseductionlair.com/ ... s-of-2008/ Here's the list: 1.) Brad P 2.) Adam Lyons (congrats, man!) 3.) Neil Strauss 4.) Mystery 5.) Sinn (yay as well!) 6.) Swinggcat 7.) Cajun (I thought he'd be higher out of sheer hype.) 8.) David Wygant 9.) Zan 10.) Nick Savoy There were other things listed like best product, etc. etc. However, my choice won for "Biggest Community Drama" of 2008, which makes me VERY happy. I'm not sure how reliable the 2008 list is... (even compared to the previous years.) Thundercat took MONTHS off for a "mental health" break... and he likes to meet these guys in person... but he didn't even make the superconference he was scheduled to attend... so I think his rankings for 6-10 are a bit screwy. What do y'all think? |

I agree, 1-5 in my opinion are very accurate. I might have put Sinn a little higher and not had Adam as #2 but other than that I think they belong there. 6-10 not so sure about but I will add that I love what David Wygant has done for the community and what he represents. I don't really know much about Zan so I can't really say he doesn't belong on that list. |

Seriously... Mystery and Style are like, so 2 years ago! Ok, all mid-90's-sitcom-inspired ramblings aside Mystery and Style do not deserve such high rankings. Neither of them have done much to contribute to "the community" this year. Style, while I do not view this in a derogatory sense whatsoever, has essentially distanced himself from the community and returned to his life as a writer. Mystery has become nothing more than a reality TV star. I'm sure he's still a great PUA (better than I, or most people on this forum, will ever be) but the great contributions he made were made YEARS ago at this stage. In fact, many of them have long since been superseded! Brad P: Congrats, can't fault him even if I don't think he deserves the #1 spot. Adam Lyons: Here comes the sycopantic bit... He should've been number 1. His studies on the process of attraction have finally broken people away from mystery mthd (yes I know he's not the first). Plus, his general selflessness as regards the community (not just on this forum but on his own site and elsewhere) speaks for itself. Cajun: Granted, as Zip said, a lot of his current popularity results from the hype surrounding his appearance on KTTVIP but the guy is ridiculously good. His articles on body language are fantastic (as is his blog in general). The hype may be what pushed Cajun into the limelight but I think over the next year he's really going to prove himself. Sinn: Definitely deserved a place and probably should have been higher. The Game Acceleration Doctrine is excellent and, if nothing else, he deserves credit for constantly maintaining a place at the very forefront of pick-up for so long. He never seems to stop working on his game, and on game in general. Likewise, he never seems to stop trying to bring his new learnings to the community at large as soon as possible. Just a few people I believe should have been represented: Vin DiCarlo: The Attraction Code, 'nuff said Captain Jack, El Topo... ok that's about it... I know there's no point in going on about this, Thundercat's yearly top 10 is seriously over-hyped. That said, absolutely everyone should get themselves involved in a pointless rant at least once/week. So this time next year I plan to be in the top 3, having released my ultimate inner game product in which you develop amazing confidence by ranting and raving 'round the clock on a regular basis!!! |

i love the fact that their are 'awards' for the most sociable people and how they progress. now i follow 'the game' to a degree, although I'm still too lazy/uncomfortable to recite whole dialogs that i have memorized before hand, hats off to all those who have man i always hated learning play lines. I think it's very fitting 'the worlds a stage' and..... hang on i'm going off topic, so what do i have to say about the list well i think WHAT WILL BE THE NEXT BIG STEP FOR PUA'S ? i think i'll post a topic on this, i'm feeling a little rough so for now it'll hang about here =] .x. all |

I personally am pleased with the list. Although I still believe that Afc adam should be no. 1. I was at his bootcamp in Manchester 2 months ago and and my success rate has shot up to more than I've ever had in the past 18 years of my life. I've never met such a guy who is willing to give the time of day to sit down with an individual and actually teach them. Now is it just me or is MM a little outdated and the fact that him and style haven't contributed to the community in 08 with the exception of "the pick up artist?" I'm a big fan of adam's and i was wondering if there were any other guys on here that follow his method and what they think? Regards Dublin |

So what did Brad P do to get #1. I'm pretty familiar with the rest of the top 5, but the few times I've seen him I wasn't impressed. Adam Lyons is doing well so I'm not surprised he's still going strong. I'm a bit surprised Mehow didn't make the list at all. I wonder how Thundercat makes his decisions. |
Now is it just me or is MM a little outdated
How can MM be outdated, it is simply putting into practice rountines that work, it is still the most broadly used and easiest to learn of all the techniques, |

I haven't heard from style or mystery for a while now. This is a neat list I will admit, and the fact people aren't screaming "omg! I wanna be on it!" is even better. Good work. Let's see how the new year treats PU. |
