Post subject:  COLD READING,,, USABLE?
Ok, here is the deal

I never ever use cold reading, I have tried it before, but for those of you, who use it, I understand that it's use to DHV and sometimes for openers, am I right?

If so, the easy part is to learn to do cold reading, the part Im curious about is the reasoning on how this establishes a rapport,

Rapport is same as comfort , so you establish comfort (make special conection) and you are in ,ready to close the deal .

You can establish rapport by sharing secrets , speaking about something that you bouth like , playing the question game .... etc.

The main thing is to make special conection betwen you to . So you can close.

That's not what I asked...

And just so you know Rapport DOES NOT equal comfort.

And Rapport alone doesn't make attraction.

You need Arousal and Prizability

Remember you have RAPPORT with all your friends, that doesn't mean you can bang them all.

So to my question again

How does cold reading increase success?

I was reading this article of the interview of David D on Style, he mentioned how sometimes he used Cold reading to DHV, but not so much now, instead fun games, funny stories, elicit value

What are you guys' takes on that?

You use cold reading to read her body language. Specifically to rapport, you can read her body to see if you are talking about a topic that interests her. Since you probably do not know her very well, understanding what she is into without her telling you helps big time.

let me answer your question man, it seems no one else can.. :lol:

in all honesty ive only used cold reading a few times and i am no expert
but generally you can tell alot about someone from the way they carry
themselves,their clothes,hair e.t.c

Basically i know this girl who is a lesbian so I wasn't trying to pick her up
but i tried some cold reading stuff with her and it seemed to work because she thought it was amazing that I knew so much about her, I then done some hand writing analysis which i taught her then got her to analyise my handwriting.

I think in the right setting this could be very effective, I wouldn't try it in a club where the music is too loud to really hear someone but possibly coffee shop,music store,restaurante e.t.c somewhere quieter.

How effective is cold reading?

Only as good as you are good at doing it.

It is just another tool in the bag. By itself, it will do nothing. As part of a larger group of tools, it may mean the difference between #close and F-close.

It is a huge DHV. Only problem is that today such techniques as handwriting analysis and palm reading are well known to people and it's nothing new. Anyways, it is HOW you do it, not what you actually say. Great way is to be vague, introduce one side of her and then other one, and tell them what they want to hear. Irony is, every woman likes to think she is the special one. So tell her that (smth like "Your handwriting is *pretty curvy, I haven't seen that nice curves in a long time.* It means you are .........., I like that about girls, it is unique to find ........ girl like that nowadays...."
NOTE: ........ = some quality you noticed before and wish her to practice
*.....* = some quality of their handwriting

Just, tell them what they want to hear. Bad thing is, it usually takes some time to learn and cold-read. And timing is crucial in set.

yeh I think your right, you dont even need to know much about the subject of handwriting analysis or cold reading, usually you can bullshit
your way through it and people will generally answer positively to your statements you need to be able to say things with enuff conviction and have the body language and voice tone to back it up.

Girls love cold reading. On myspace and on tv you see these stupid love match programs that do stupid things to us guys. But girls totally love them. If you can cold read anything interesting about them, and follow that with some type of mystical dhv than you have her interested. Cold reading doesn't always work, as some people will reply with comments like ' you don't really know me, how can you say stuff like that '. So on, so be aware of those and make sure you calibrate to use them in the right situation.
