To KC (Kiss Close) its all about building up sexual tension. If you're having fun making them laugh, and suddenly go in for a kiss, they will likely reject you or find it very awkward because you have not built up sexual tension. It will seem like you are pulling a move on them.
You need to build up sexual tension by gradually increasing kino (touching), and having constant, direct eye contact, and then putting a sexual charge into both your eyes and the way you look at her, as well as into your words. Ask questions and steer the conversation towards the topic of love, relationships, and even sex. This will get her thinking about you in a romantic, sexual way and not just as a funny friend.
Also try the eyes to mouth technique, where you look at her eyes and then down to her mouth, and then back up to her eyes. This will signal to her that you want to kiss her.
Basically the point is that you need to increase sexual tension in a progressive way so that you are touching, holding strong eye contact, ect ect. Don't hold back, let your attraction for the woman show through these techniques (this is done after the initial stages of meeting a girl, so at this point you don't have to worry about "not showing too much interest." You are way beyond that stage at this point.
