Mystery and Style both site that a good way to approach your target is to engage an adjacent set so that your desired set thinks your worth talking to. Its genius and i dont doubt it works. However, I am curious about weather the effectiveness of this tactic varies with the attractiveness and social status of the adjacent set. An example would be a bunch of fatties eating chocolate cake wearing sequin tarps located next to your target group. Would an hb see that any different than if you were chatting it up with another group of hbs? |

Ok, you could lower your status by starting to chat up the chess team but why would you do that? Almost all kinds of social interaction will increase your status and the hotter the set is the more impact. The adjacent set will subconsciously check for these things: Social proof (are you dangerous?) Preselection Flip any of these switches and your game will benefit from it. |

Haha. The answer is yes, she will see it differently. However, talking to anyone will boost your value. A lot of HB's will disregard most men right away unless she sees somehow they have value (pre-selection). So by being in an adjacent group and then merging, you have instant attraction. Just start a conversation with a very close set of girls and midway through, toss an over-the-shoulder opener to the HB target group without leaving your set. When they get in to the opinion opener then you can slowly turn around and box out the pawns behind you. |
