We were discussing this in the chatroom and I actually use this every once in a while so I feel it's worth posting for you guys. Running out of things to say is something a lot of guys worry about and don't really have a solution for, but it's very simple... it ties in with one of my core rules, which is being honest and speaking your mind.

"OK listen, I was on my way somewhere and I've completely run out of things to say now anyway so instead of causing an awkward silence I'm gonna get your number and we can hook up once I figure out some cool stuff to talk about..."

This is kind of C&F and, of course, has to be delivered with a smile and fun attitude. And it works because it's just so ridiculous... if you really had run out of things to say and didn't have anything else to talk about, would you really say that? Well, now you will. Just make sure you actually do have some stuff to talk about on your day 2. :mrgreen:

If you've been in set for a minute or so, the awkward pause normally happens when you ask a question and she gives an unexpected or short response, and is even more likely if you didn't care about the answer in the first place.

So that's when it happens. Best thing to do is hold eye contact, stand there comfortably, and put the pressure on her. She can ask you a question back, elaborate on what she just said, or maybe after a few seconds you'll come up with something. The key is that you still keep the connection and seem confident meaning attraction is still being built (perhaps more so).

Yep, that's a point I've made before and definately worth covering aswell. I always like to maintain that the pressure is on her, not you, to keep the interaction going because you're trying to figure out if she is worth hanging out with - not the other way around. Keeping eye contact and smiling definately works, depending on the scenario it's just your way of showing you expected her to elaborate more, or that she should start a new thread of conversation.

I really like this. As chino said it's money. With the expecting her to elaborate more part I guess you could even verbally show that with a kinda neg "oh you're done? i was expecting a little more but i guess that'll do (with smile etc obviously)" something like that so it could possibly put the pressure on her even more so to try and impress you.

Hell no man, it's all in the delivery. If you say it with an awkward tone it will come off as awkward, but it you say it with a smile and in a playful way then it will be a natural and operative part of the conversation.

This is a great way to time bridge DL, I will use it when the conversation starts to die down next time. I think it is key that this line comes immediately after the lull in conversation, otherwise you may number close her on a down note and it's always a good idea to avoid setting plans or extracting compliance when the energy is low.

Hopefully you have some comfort with the girl already when attempting this, otherwise the number will probably flake. Then again, this is definitely one of the more natural and self assured ways of getting a girl's phone number.
