| Post subject: | Straight Face w/ Cocky Funny, Push-Pull, Negs |
When I started playing with: Cocky Funny, Negs and Push-Pull, I use to start laughing or have a huge smile on my face while doing it. I noticed that this was not working. I started keeping more of a straight face, or a grin at the least. What is your opinion on this? Do you notice it works better with a straight face? has this stuff failed on you when you started smiling or laughing? Is there any explanation for this? Any general feedback? Thanks |

Yes, try to deadpan your C&F, like you really believe all the outrageous things that come out of your mouth. A slightly raised eyebrow should be your only tell, if any. The reason for this is simple: nobody laughs at a comedian's jokes if the comedian cracks up delivering them. By going C&F on a girl, you are essentially entertaining her with your dry wit while impressing on her how confident you are. So there you go, the key to C&F is being Cocky AND Funny.

i suppose that whenever you start a new routine, be it comedy, drama, or picking up women, ur tells (smiling, laughing) are bound to be big, but of course with time they will diminish. think of it like having a poker face playing hold 'em |

I don't like cocky and funny. Try using sweet and funny. You'll get better responses from girls yet still come off as alpha. You aren't push/pulling correctly if its going bad for you. Either too much push or pull. I would give good examples but its 7am and I'm tired. Maybe another time. Negs are only used when she is not responding to you the way you want or you have to open her with a neg because she is a super hot bitch. Or passing shit tests. Try saying negs with a cheeky smile on your face. |

Little out of the blue, but I think Dave Attell is the best improv party hoppin badass ever. Or at least until I change my mind. Witty, and while 10 beers down usually. The guy is a social badass and hes funny if you have a sense of humor. He, like Roads said, keeps a straight face until the party realizes that the joke is a joke and its humor sinks in just in time for him to laugh along. Whatever im drunk. Check him out |
