At lunch with a coworker today, she told me about a book she's reading and takes it out of her purse. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/All-th ... 0446618793 Some of these rules are similar to our own, but seeing it come from the other side, made me a bit angry. I had this feeling that both sides are playing games and just basically being deceitful to one another. How can we ever get together if we're both dishonest about our own feelings. Some of the rules from this book were: "Never call a man and rarely return his calls" "Never talk to a man first" other rules were simply good advice that I won't contest, such as "occupy your time before the date." |

Let them have their little rules. I know a lot of girls and they're breaking their own rules time and time again. One of David X's funnier anecdotes was about a girl he dated once, who had "fuck tickets", that is, her man would be granted 12 or whatever sex sessions per year. What did he do? He used them up as fast as he could and got the fuck outta there... and she chased after him, and broke her own rule. Now think about how petty these rules are in comparison, and know no fear. Besides, what kind of men are these methods "time tested" on anyway? You're god damn right. |

Woah Fuck tickets! I gotta get some of them. This is nothing new, women have always read these kind of books, but i suppose now there are better ones after men showed them how to write these books properly and do things right, women are so dumb. Look how many of these books they have in the book store compared to ones for men, they even have magazines. Now we have our own rule books and its evened up the playing field. |

I'm not worried about it considering the fact that pick-up has been around for a while and is fairly well know yet so many guys don't follow it. What makes us think the majority of attractive women will follow these rules? I don't see how they would be very different either. I bet they are just trying to teach them how to get the upper hand. |

you aren't being deceitful the Pua is an art form of society, if the girl wants to learn to be more sociable then let her. regardless of how many books she reads or not, you game will stall have the same effect on her. |

Stop dissing on us women lol I have never actually read that book. Actually, I have found that most books directed towards women and dating are rubbish except for one. However, from what you wrote that book seems to fit the crap category. "Why Men Love Bitches" is a good book. It talks about jumping through hoops, acting busy, providing a mental challenge, and indifference...sounds familiar right? |

I had posted a thread similar to this one. I had read the book The Manual by Steve Santagati. I thought it was okay. Some of the rules were similar, some of them i didn't agree with. None the less, I wanted to see what the other side is saying just to see the larger picture. I think I'm going to look into these other books. |
