I've had one-itis. I believe we all did. I think it's safe to say the big common theme here is that the other person wasn't reciprocating the same emotions. You couldn't fully have that person. You were head over heels over her, but she cared little. You might have done the maximum while she did the minimum. I believe one-itis is a short term relationship, a fling, a one-night stand or just very bad pent-up sexual tension that never got to fruition. Putting a person on a pedestal when in fact, they eat and shit just like you. What was your one-itis? What made you be so stuck on her? |

I had a one a year ago, I actually made a topic about it and calling out for help in this forum on how to get her to like me back when there was the only fact that I played it all wrong from the very beginning. When I read it today I feel like a fool, someone who had been played. At the end it played out differently and to my benefit and I was happy for a short period of time (as you mentioned) with her. When we finally had sex a couple of times my feelings for her just stopped. I didn't want to be with her anymore. She was a HB10 for sure, a blonde, tall and gorgeous lady with some exotic twists, exactly what I like. Also had this cocky personality but in a good and funny way. This was the reason I got stuck with her in the first place. In other words; her looks combined with the personality made her my one-itis. |

You get oneitis when: 1) You don't have anything better to do in your life than seeing that girl 2) When you don't have any passion in life 3) When she's the only one girl you're seeing, texting 4) When you subdue most of your time for her instead of socializing with friends, family, etc... |

I get it from somewhat knowingly making a mistake on a date (not escalating) to a girl that I have a connection with and then trying to fix it (getting her out again) too fast or too much, which eventually shows neediness thus loss of interest from her. Happened twice now. Lol Seems to happen to girls I have a deep connection with, girls that I don't mind losing I'm like the best. But those I feel a good connection with, I seem to mess up a lot more for some reason. Guess it's fear of rejection of someone I don't want to lose. "Can't always get what you want" |

Nifty, probably because you're trying too hard too fast with those. Maybe you don't make room for any mystery by revealing all of your cards. Games, you know. |

For sure working on that to, and ya mystery is quite powerful, I met this girl the other day instead of introducing myself I asked her name and shortly after she asked for my name. Just a little something something that shows me she is interested even if its just a little.
