As I come and see more Instagram "models" and more Facebook validation I can't help but wonder how it affects a woman's mind. Does this make it easier for the men that know what they are doing ? Probably so. But does this create a sense of entitlement for a woman....probably so. I've been using social media less and less these days. It's usually a bunch of opinions stated as facts with no real substance or logic. I hide those kinds of statuses from my newsfeed.

I've noticed that women post one selfie a day. Same face, just different lighting, and another day. Maybe wearing glasses lol. But of course, bunch of likes. Other times I see a girl post a status such as "who wants to bring me food, or a ciggarette at work" and it's rather sad to watch volunteers comment....

This takes me to my current thought, do these girls really think this will translate to the real world. Who am I kidding, it probably does.

Last week at a bar, I was buying my drink and I turned around and see three cute girls. As I was about to open, one of the girls (probably tipsy) was saying "who's gonna buy drinks for us :D , is it you, while looking at me"

I was turned off instantly  , I simply smirked and told her not today sweetheart. Her face was priceless. I walked away leaving them. I've noticed a trend with "hot" women. One girl told me the other time that she is used to getting her way and when i told her no I don't want to do that right now, she threw a small hissy fit. Of course, I don't do drama and I talked to her less after that.

As media keeps everyone so connected, there are good things to exploit but is it worth taking to account the bad things. Any of your own stories about "entitled" women ?

It doesn't make a difference whatsoever for a guy who knows game and has pick up skills.

I just tease girls about Facebook photo's and stuff like that. "Ohhh look BRUCE FAGGOT just commented on your Facebook picture, you're sure catching the good ones aren't you Emily!"...

I did write a massive explanation on this. But fuck it. That'll do.

Something that really strikes me these days out on the town is the focus of a lot of the younger crowd on their camera-phone and themselves. You can't get away from it. I'm not sure whether Facebook/Instagram encourages some kind of minor, imitation celebrity culture but it looks to me like "social" media is less about keeping in touch or seeing what friends are doing, but more like a private TV channel to broadcast and sell themselves through a created fake life made of carefully chosen pictures and posts.

I've seen it argued that today's woman receives as much "fan mail" in the form of likes and comments in their daily life, as a movie star of the forties or fifties would've been exposed to. Those 1000+ friends are not friends but simply an audience. The bigger the audience the more the diva gets validated and feels like a celebrity.

This might explain all the attitude because their accomplishments are essentially shallow, and the constant competition and scrutiny makes them insecure. When you've achieved nothing of substance but a large Instagram following, it's important to put up a good front.

And you're spot on with the daily selfie observation. I've noticed too it's as if they've just photoshopped their head onto a different body/set of clothes each day, because the angle and smile never changes.

Haha. Nice thread.

Technology has completely changed the attraction/dating world period. There will always be another girl/guy online that you can find around the block. Decent looking girls get so much attention via tech it's insane. Attractive women always have received more attention, but now with technology, images can reach so many more people. I have screwed women that make you drool on instragram, but most of us know there can be a huge difference between photos and real life. Angles, angles, angles.

Remember, most guys, who have no skill/ability when it comes to attraction, will bend over backwards to be with an attractive woman. This doctor I know if was crying when his hot Asian nurse left him for someone else. He BEGGED her. BEGGED. A doctor! Of course good looking girls are used to getting their way. It's been scientifically proven the "better" you look, the more favored you are. People will treat a woman that looks like a crack addict differently than a girl that is dressed well and is dolled up (extremes, but the principle is universal).

The major problem with these social medias is some people demonstrate self-absorption/vanity, which is quite unattractive from either sex. I have some "friends" that post daily selfies of themselves working out at the gym, flexing, or girls just looking pretty. I choose for the most part not to take any part in it. Most of my work/entertainment is at a computer, so I would much rather be outside learning interacting with people when I'm done working. Not on a social media site where people can post whatever they want and a lot of things are without value/reason.

I have a lot of experience with girls that are considered "attractive" via social media. There is usually an entitled sense as they have so many options and guys always hitting them up. Social media certainly exacerbates it because girls are now assaulted from 30x different websites/apps.

Just remember, most "instagram models" have nothing else going for them but that, which in itself is nearly meaningless?

The only difference it makes is that these women have is that they become one dimensional. To me, I find the more attractive girls are easier because every guy chases them either one of two ways. Some will beat around the bush and hope the girl is interested or they try to go at them in an over the top type of way and women become desensitized to this. Seduction is more about getting her to feel a certain way about herself with you than it is about you trying to make a presentation of yourself.

Women get all sorts of validation offline, too before social media

I see this social media Thing as good thing. I remember. Not so long ago. This girl that I never hooked up with ended her relationship with her BF and she got a all these liked and comments from the orbiter chode "you deserve someone better!"

I just posted "he is better off without you..." Which caused an erupt with laughter and she started to like all my shit and comment on my stuff...

I don't see myself as competition because I'm not following the rest of the sheep.

To be honest. I don't even use Facebook and Instagram to keep an eye on girls. I only look where the girls are looking to meet guys.

- Tinder
- Night clubs

I beg to differ. I don't think that much has changed at all. The vast majority of people are still doing it the old fashioned way.

It's just easier to keep in touch with someone now.

Clubs, lounges, bars...These are not very high quality places, unless maybe they are in located in rich areas.

If you're looking for a high quality woman, chances are she's not hittin' up the clubs and grinding up against strangers. High quality women invest their time in better things.

I guess that would depend on what your opinion of a high quality woman is.
