So, I have a serious question for the mods. What is going on with the "Lock everything in the lounge" thing you've been doing? I'm not talking about the threads that are dealing with a personal issue like "How do I act this way with this girl". I'm just talking about general topics like the connection between hair styles and craziness. Someone makes a new thread, you say "There is already a thread like this. Use the search. LOCK!" Someone uses the search, bumps an old thread with new content and it's like - This is an old thread. LOCK! Don't make new threads, unless they're completely unique and unlike any other thread. But don't revive old threads either. Could you explain what exactly we're to do? |

Hey man, The lounge does see a lot of locks, yes - and the big reason is the number of criteria and rules for posting there: the-forum-rules-new-pua-lounge-rules-vt25920.html A lot of people post without knowing the rules... While I can't speak to these two specific examples (I didn't lock them), both appear like they may have violated the Lounge (or the overarching rules) to me... Quote: Do a search before posting:
Many topics have been discussed and resolved countless times. Use the search function of this website to see if you can find the answers to your questions before posting a new thread about it. Quote: POLL Do you drink while you're out sarging? (AKA Do you masturbate before you go sarging?, AKA Do you listen to music before you go sarging?, AKA Do you scrub behind each ear three times and chant an incantation while sacrificing six virgins to Kali before you go sarging?)
We don't go out of our way to lock things - but there are a lot of users here and a lot of threads. Keeping things in the right spots and preventing duplicates, repeat topics, etc are needed to keep a lid on things.

I lock any thread that contains a questions more suited for the General Questions forum. I used to move them but i figured if I locked a few people would get the message but so far it hasn't worked. |

Having a bunch of locked threads was cluttering up the lounge so I went ahead and took some of them that I locked and moved them to general questions and unlocked them. Locking them didn't seem to get the point across anyway... |

The lounge is for discussion of pua theory or for at the very least a new take on old theory. It's not for general or newb questions. This is aimed at more advanced game and unfortunately the lounge due to me and some of the older mods not having time, regulate it the way we should have. We have a lot of threads that are placed in incorrect locations across this forum and this makes the information harder to access for users who may need the information. We allowed some bad habits but the newer mods are making sure we keep it clean. If the information is published in the proper location the proper people who need the information can access it. There will be some growing pains but think about it this way, if you want to know something you go to the proper area you can find it or post it and someone can answer it. Overall the forum will be much better if we have an advanced game section and as it stands we don't have an advanced game section. Which is what we are trying to do. Let's make this the best forum we can by not cluttering it in an unorganized manner. We are a community and you need to work with us so we can have a great community for younger guys to improve their skills with women. Peace and Love, Vic |

I'm aware that it's not a place for noob questions(as I stated in my OP). I was asking rather specifically about what I consider to be a clear paradox of saying you shouldn't make a new thread when there are others like it - but you shouldn't post in those threads that are like it, either(because it's too old). |

I think that is sort of the point Vic was trying to make.I was asking rather specifically about what I consider to be a clear paradox of saying you shouldn't make a new thread when there are others like it - but you shouldn't post in those threads that are like it, either(because it's too old). Yes, the one thread got locked up because it was just a repeat of a repeat of a repeat... The other thread probably SHOULD have been locked or moved a long time ago, but people got busy or missed it... We locked it when we found it (IE: when it resurfaced). |

My only thing is pointing out the lock a thread and then mumble something when nobody can respond to it. Seems a bit of a snake move. |

Your threads are getting locked for being belligerent and fighting. That's a whole other thing. |

@ Joe: Stop derailing threads and picking fights, and maybe the threads won't get locked. This is not an invitation for a debate. We do not debate locking threads... |

Another for your two cents followed by locking a thread that cannot be responded too. Its just semantics. Typical mod stuff. |
