The true key to success, and ultimately the greatest pitfall of gaming, is to become apathetic. It isn't enough to understand apathy. You have to embrace the concept.
I have to concede that you seem modestly affected by her actions and your counter-reactions. However, nothing would be exciting without a little emotion.
What would I do? What have I done in situations like this?
Text her the following: "A bunch of us are going out to [name of bar] tonight, you guys should join us tonight."
You want her to bring her ex. What's more, you want to game the ex. The reason is not as readily apparent as you may think. They key is to have all the attention on you and you don't want the two of them getting focused on each-other. Befriending the ex insures that.
What follows? Sarging each and every time you go out with them. During brief pauses, turn around, look for a group within three seconds, and open the set whether guys or girls. Chat up for 5 minutes and come back to the two, or better yet, introduce them to each-other.
The greatest satisfaction comes when your spite for her turns in the realization that you didn't need her in the first place. In our need for vengeance and validation you realize that you've been practicing long and hard in order to 'game' her...and in the end you realized you could 'game' better. That, my friends, results in Apathy.

When I read that I realized it may not communicate clearly what I intend. This means to say, that you realize you can 'game' better/hotter girls.
