So this theory came from a lot of self analysis. I was wondering why a woman that is successful and good businesswoman or maybe a bodybuilder is such a turn of for a lot of guys(including me) even tough logically she should be more attractive, after all well built woman could survive better in the conditions where lean slim woman would die. also why do we men find fat so gross while many women(this is not confirmed, just hearsay) may not be bothered with it that much. What makes the woman with square jaw and wide shoulders unattractive? My theory is that because it is sometimes hard to tell if the person facing you is a man or woman it was very important for our ancestors to differentiate potential mates from "not potential mates". For example breasts on a woman yell very loudly "i am a woman" while a woman like this one http://www.professionalmuscle.com/forum ... g_0744.jpg wreaks havoc with our sensors, that is why beer gut on a man is not such a big deal, but on a woman it is, because most women first get more curvacious and only then they get a beer gut, while on men it is the other way around. That is why hairy woman is unattractive, we associate hairiness with men. Sorry if this sounds a little strange, it is sometimes hard for me to explain my ideas in a way that is easy to understand especially since English is not my primary language. |

Oh, sorry, i got so caught up in explaining it i forgot the point i was going to make, many men look at themselves as they would look at women when they judge their own attractiveness, if asked who would a woman choose first, Orlando Bloom or Silvester Stallone(at his prime) many guys will say Orlando Bloom, because they see SS as too masculine, that is why our society is getting feminized this days, we all try to conform to the standards of feminine beauty, that is also why many men shave their chests and pluck their eyebrows, but i was trying to make a point that we should not be judging our self by the feminine standards of beauty because what makes men attractive are the stuff that make him "not a woman" in woman's eyes, among other things.

It's evolutionary bro. Sylvester's body type will consume more oxygen and hence, SS would lose gas easily and build up more lactic acid quickly compared to Orlando Bloom's body type. I have wondered over a similar thing. Why many girls are attracted to tall men (if they are proportional) isn't too hard to figure out - size matters. The bigger the guy, the better chance to defeat a lion (for instance). A girl feels safe in the arms of a big guy. But... Why does it work the other way around too? Why are men usually attracted to shorter women? |

Are men attracted to shorter women? I think in general we like long legs. Certainly when I was first starting out with pick up, the most intimidating girls for me to go and talk to were the ones who were 5'10 or 5'11. I would say 2 or 3 inches shorter than me, yes (I'm 6'2) but anything much shorter than about 5'8 and I generally won't find the girl all that attractive. |
