Post subject:  About this rusty forum

I've been into PU since 2005, and have been lurking forums and websites ever since (when mASF was still online).
In addition, I'm also a web developer.

Why on earth do you guys still use this old forum system? I believe it is inefficient to use for the following reasons:
  • 90% of the posted material is unproven and lacks any sources.
  • There is no way to trust a poster, outside from having been a lurker for a long time (which most people aren't) or checking the amount of posts they have (which can also be inaccurate, as they could be saying nonsense all the time)
  • The forum is just super old and outdated. A system like this exists since 2004, that's 10 years people. Time to move on.
  • The succes of stackexchange and other Q&A sites has proven that Q&A is ten times better than a traditional forum, especially for pickup as users have reputation and can up/downvote answers.
  • Most people on this forum want to exchange information, not chit-chat. Again, Q&A is ten times better.
  • The high amount of ads, forced user registrations and THIS ANNOYING SHARE BAR ON THE LEFT THAT NO-ONE USES has caused me to believe that the webmasters seek only money. Which is sad indeed.
  • There are a lot of empty threads which people forget about, although they are valid questions. A Q&A could give an incentive (=bounty) for someone to answer on that question.
  • A very high amount of spelling errors persist on the forum, and spelling is not taken too seriously. (Not saying that I'm a spelling nazi, but we should be more professional)
  • Searching on this forum is a joke. By default it shows a list of posts, which makes it hard if not impossible to find something specific without going into "advanced search".
For these reasons, I have decided to start a Q&A website specifically for Pick-Up. It will be run by the users, for the users. Questions will be able to be voted upon by the community. Moderators are selected by the community.
Bad spelling is dealt with. Instant search is guaranteed, and you will find the answer you are looking for instantly.

Just think about it. Stackoverflow, but for Pick-Up.

The website I am talking about has already started and is live. I am all alone on this quest for better PU information, and I am looking for experienced PU volunteers who want to moderate on this Q&A website.

Without posting links, you can find the website at pickupquestions, then a dot, and then "com" behind it.

Internal server error. I think you need to work a little bit more on that page of yours.

OP, since your website is NOT working, then this forum is 10,000x better than what you propose.

Yep! forum has gone down the drain, still operating under mystery method model, but pua is pretty much dead anyways...
