| Post subject: | AMOGed by a brother |
I had a rude awakening tonight.. I took my brother to this cafe to meet some girls I've been talking to. Nothing special just to hang out for a little bit. My brother is bro. by choice and he was a jock all through high school, sadly I was the opposite which is why I got into pick up and working out in the first place. Now we've been talking for a good 10 minutes and I guess he got comfortable around the girls and he starts trying to hit on my target! So what did I do?? Nothing... I did nothing but crack a few jokes and try to keep my smile... next he started AMOGing me, jacked my wallet and showed her my I.D. picture from like 2 years ago... yes im pissed at this moment and told him we were leaving.. and im still pissed because tonight I learned that no matter how close you and your "bro" might be a HB sitting across the table can make all of that disappear... so im starting right now!! Observing every alpha male trait there's is and im going to make them my own... I refuse to be AMOGed again.. |

Maybe this can inspire you. Especially his story in the beginning about some alpha male stealing the show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-a1jXgAsQI First reaction - "feeling sorry for myself". Second reaction - "try to challenge the alpha male". Third...? Check out the video. When it comes to women, there is no such thing as a "bro". Every man in the room means competition, and you are all on your own. There are guys that may spoil your game because they are unaware of what they are doing and how the game works. There are also guys who may spoil your game just because they want the girls themselves. In any case, I think the video above explains the most appropriate action to take quite well. |

Not sure I agree with the post above. I have good friends that would never do this to me. This sounds like a boundary issue. I train people how to treat me and one of my friends AMOG'ing me in front of other women is unacceptable. I won't tolerate it. I would speak with him about it...maybe he doesn't realize? If something like this continued, I would certainly not put myself in a position to be AMOG'd again (aka. not inviting my bro out to meet women I'm trying to hook up with) |

You're going to get a lot of KJ'ing from "bros" on this site telling you how to dominate others, or just be a bully/jerk. The reality is, this guy's your brother. If you have an issue with something he said or did, you HAVE to be able to tell him so. Once you're out of there, you tell him "dude, we need to work as a team, and that means you don't make fun of me like that. Otherwise, I'm gonna stop introducing you to women." He either changes things up and you may have a wing for yourself, or he doesn't change, and you take action by no longer bringing him around. If the AMOG is a stranger, all you really have to do is not get intimidated OR angry. Girls, sane girls anyways, don't like to watch dudes trying to beat their chests to scare the other off like a couple of apes. If you let go of your ego and insecurity, and just continue to interact with the girl while ignoring him, you're fine. We need fewer broskis in the world. He's supposed to be your buddy, so just talk to him like an adult. |

I would've said the following: (Bro takes my wallet, makes fun of my picture) Me: hahaha, yeah, and look at me now! Some people have the will to change and others stay in high school. The girl will get the indirect mockery of your bro's jocky ways and feel more comfortable with you than him. You have successfully disarmed him. Trust me, when I was 16 I got really fat and now I bodybuild and have a 6 pack. These success stories convey DHV. |
