I don't know what the stance is. It seems like it's condemned to want to get into a relationship with one girl that you love. 'Go fuck ten other girls.' Am I missing something. Is the stance that loving a girl is a trick of the mind: 'Oneitis' that one should get over or that you shouldn't believe that the one you love is unlike any other. If the one you love isn't like any other, why do we place any value at all on being selective with women? |

Think of an MMA bout. Say, this dude prefers to play World of Warcraft instead of interacting with other people through sports, music and other extra-curricular activities. Suddenly, he saw GSP fight in the octagon and says to himself, "I want to kick the ass of GSP." Now, without any form of training whatsoever, or any fight whatsoever, or any experience whatsoever, the dude contacts Dana White and says, "I want to fight GSP and get his belt." Now, let's look at The One. The One is probably a hot and sexy babe who gets hit on by several dozen guys every day. These guys say the same thing and do the same thing as the other 300 guys before them when interacting with The One. Say, you fell in love with The One because her smile is so cute. What are you going to do to GET The One? I'll make a guess. It'll probably go like this: 1. Gain experience first and some form of skill. 2. Separate yourself and stand out versus the hundreds of guys who say and do the same thing to The One. Now, some guys don't want to do anything to improve their odds so they just keep on chasing The One. On the other hand The One is creeped out the more guys chase her. So this forum ends up with several dozen brokenhearted new guy each day who keeps on chasing The One without any experience or some form of skill whatsoever. He creeps the girl out by being too needy short of committing the criminal offense of stalking or worst, The One takes advantage of the poor dude making him spend all his money on her while banging several other assholes who fuck her good. In short, the guy who's a great fuck will have higher chances of getting the girl than some dude without any experience or some form of skill whatsoever. GFTOW prepares you to eventually get The One who's going to reciprocate whatever feelings you have and more. |

Thanks for the elaborate response. My interpretation of what you're saying is that the Oneitis situation is when men place value on a women that may not be real. It's an imagined impression that she possesses special traits. If it takes fucking 10 women to sort out your impressions seems like overkill. I think it takes a bit of sitting down and putting things in perspective but hey, perhaps that works for some guys. I'm a single dude very much enjoying the freedoms of singlehood. I'd just say, if you've got unrealistic expectations, reassess them. Fucking 10 women is lazy because it's a habit of your mind to misinterpret a woman's value that you're ignoring. |

Hellhound is spot on. GFTOW is legit advice which teaches you that an abundance of women gives you the reference experiences you need to learn how to deal with women. And yes, GFTOW is like training partners for a fight, sharpening all the weapons in your arsenal, then when that awesome girl comes along, you will pass all the shit tests and have an awesome time with her. |
