So I just started at the Uni in January (graduated HS early) and I didn't know anyone. Here. I was miserable for a bit, and every time I'd try to go out and make friends or sarge, I was met by this incredible "bitch shield", but it was from EVERYONE. People here just aren't as friendly as they were back home. So long story short, I ended up at a bunch of frat parties. I started having loads of fun, and PU at a frat party is incredibly easy. My confidence is through the roof, i've made some friends, overall, life is great. But I'm at this point where I'm not sure if I want to join or not. I tend to feel like this at varying intervals in my life (clinical depression), and I'm hoping this is just another one of those stages, but I can't really be sure till it's over. I get mixed thoughts from most people I talk to, so I thought it couldn't hurt to ask around here. What are your thoughts on joining a fraternity? |

I say go for it! I moved to a different state for college so I was a long way away from family and friends. I didn't know a single person, so I joined a sorority and it was the best decision! Fraternities have mixers with sororities all the time, so you meet tons of girls... During homecoming you get a "partner" (a girl) to hang out with... And fraternities are involved on campus and in the community.... So it keeps you busy and gives you an instant group of friends, plus tons of parties! Hope that helps and good luck with Rush if you decide to do it!! |
