Guys, when you are approaching, opening, and running sets, please, for the sake of your self and the sake of the set, don't be trying to get into deep conversations right off the bat. Not even within the first few minutes.

You need to keep things light and moving along. Remember, you are the PARTY, not the professor.

You do need to engage her emotions, and take her on a ride, but you can do that w/o getting into deep discussions before it's warranted. She has to earn that level of commitment from you. Don't give yourself up to early. She'll see your easy . . . and that's not attractive to a woman.

Now that's something I've never had a problem with because I know it would be a problem if I had done it. I see lots of people do it and they come off as creepy or weird.
What I do is just be energetic and funny and enjoy myself and just make the conversation fun until I feel I have her attention then I will get into the conversation deeper, but I take a few steps at a time.

Man when I read the title of the thread I thought it might've been about something else. 8)

LMAO. I seem to have a knack of throwing people off with the titles of my threads. 8)

Can you give an example of convo with good fluff talk? I'm defiantly not as good as i have to be with it.

Anyway ...is fluff mainly me doing the talking making it seem like the spotlight is on me? Or should i try and ask "probing questions"?

Sometimes when i can recall a good "fluff" convo...it was a mutual thing...but if the girl is receptive and listening to you...but not re initating or having comments off her own..just "hehe"...or one word answers..but body language/EC is on you. Wtf do you do?

I definitely wouldn't go into probing questions too quickly, because then it feels like you're interrogating the girl. I mean, at times, and for certain people, you can get away with this. I've done it before, but as a general rule, not good.

For the example you give, some girls are just that shy. Just something you have to deal with when you encounter that.

For the good fluff talk, Locke and I talked a bit about this last night. He even started a good thread about it, which I've moved to the Lounge. You can take a look at that. Hopefully we'll get some people to start posting stuff on there.

Basically, you can use irrelevant topics that COULD launch an interesting thread to jump into.

"Man, on the way in here, I was freezing my ass off and saw this girl in the shortest mini skirt I've ever seen. That's just crazy" . . . and if there's a girl standing there in such a mini-skirt, you can easily make EC with her and say "maybe it was you?" This is just an example, and it could launch into something about that, or it could be dropped, but it's a quick line to help jump threads, and it's also something thrown at possibly the target. If there isn't a girl standing there like that, then you could get some agreement from the group about how crazy it really is.

Again, just one example. You could use just about anything, as long as it's not sick or perverted or rude.
