Went out to the mall again, uncrowded but did see some girls. Many were girls working in the stores. Should I try to talk and # close these? I did talk to a few rando girls very briefly. I didnt go into any routines or anythign after the opener I just left.
example:
me:"you know if they sell any alarm clocks here?"
her:"I dont know there might be some around here."
Then I'd walk away.

Not very impresssive but a big step for me.
Any other thoughts on openers for mall and store situations?
I guess after doing that I need to be prepared to go into a routine after the opener. Any suggestions on what to say after the opener here so I dont freeze up and walk away?
Should I launch into a funny story or ask her questions about herself?
I'd feel stupid sayin the boring stuff like "you come here often?" or "what do you do?"
Thanks

with openers like those you dont really leave the door open for continued conversation. you need more open-ended ones like, hey, sorry to interupt, but do you come here often? great, do you know what store might sell me _____?" "Oh blahblahblah? well thats not really my style" which they can respond with "whats your style?" and your in.
but thats just one idea. I suggest picking up Niel Strouss' new book Rules of the Game. there is a 30-day challenge that will really help you.

I don't think it is afc to be polite. do you know the most common response to what a womans pet peeve is? being rude. now granted woman don't know what they want but there is a fine and strong line between cocky and rude, that routine would work either way

Ive been frequenting the malls in my area and they are soo good for getting #s. Thing to understand is most guys are too shy to go up and start talking to girls so if you do then your already ahead of most guys. I'm brand new to the PU scene and have mostly used opinion openers. My friend is a natural too and we've (mostly him :( ) been getting lots of #s. Not one girl has turned us down when one of us has asked for their number. Be confident and check these quotes:

Failure is acceptable, everyone fails, but you can't accept NOT TRYING!

Remember you only live once, you'll most likely never even see these girls again, plus don't worry what anyone thinks about you, they probaly don't care or are more worried about what you think of them!!!

It's way better to regret something you did than something you DIDN'T!

Ok, being polite is not AFC. You just have to know how and when to be polite.

L.A trip I think you have a lot of knowledge. I enjoy almost everything you post, you are probably a little more aggressive than I am but that most likely works in your favor, ha ha. Malls are a great place to meet girls, You can even work it in to a instant date and take them for a drink if there is a bar nearby or in the mall itself.

I swear to god guys
Its not the specific words its the attitude, I usually rely on body language (hands and body posture + voice)
"Hey guys , I really need a "female" opinion about something while im still leaving " run the opener

its best that you suit and root your openers to location and venue.
clubs are different than malls , and malls are different than walking targets.
