Are males literally always competing for territory? I've been noticing this more lately and am wondering what type of guys do this and what type don't and if it is all subconscious. I'll be in a club just standing chillin, a guy will come and stand usually with his back towards me literally pressed up against me. He wants me to move, most guys will just step away. I don't move because I was there first and then you have this little almost homoerotic power game going on (he comes and puts his body against yours and won't move). It can last for an uncomfortably long time. What I'm forced to do is acknowledge his presence, shake hands pat on the back whatever then just ignore and he moves away, maybe give him a subtle push during the exchange. It seems once you become a person and not just a movable object he''ll feel strange continuing the little gay battle. But this seems to extend out of clubs, I now notice it at random places in public, just not with the same close proximity that's common in clubs or bars. What's up with this? I feel no need to move around and spatially intimidate others, it must make them feel good somehow? |

Humans share 96% DNA with monkeys... Enough said

We are territorial. This doesn`t apply just for men, but for women also. The kind of jelousy a girl feels it`s also territorial. But indeed, there is some struggle for space, and in places like clubs, the guys tend to state they are the alpha by gaining space to other males. That`s at least my perception of the phenomenum. |

How tall are you just out of curiosity? It may be that taller guys are doing this to you because you are short and they want to feel like they are dominating you. |

either you move him, or you move simple...If you decide to move him, kind of gently push, to get attention, when he turns around body language of i am here dude... Try to do it in a way that does not cause a fight... Some angles and positioning in clubs are better than others strategically to open and pick up women, it may have nothing to do with territory, others like me, have a favorite spot at the club, and if someone is there i will try to get in....

Reach behind and grab some ass, then say "Oops sorry, I thought you were Steve!" He will move away quickly enough

lol not trying that one Quote: How tall are you just out of curiosity? It may be that taller guys are doing this to you because you are short and they want to feel like they are dominating you.
5'11 - and it's not always the bigger guys doing this. I've noticed the more relaxed I am the more this happens (like when leaning against a wall). I also notice bouncers doing it, the annoying thing with them is that they have a right to move you if they want to. They usually don't enjoy someone else "owning" their space and they can/will move him. |

In a club I don't stand in one place long enough to notice or care. Even if it did happen to me I'd be to busy flirting with a chick or having fun to care about some egotistical power struggle. That said, I don't doubt some guys do this. Ignore it and dont worry about it. |

yea I'm not worried just wondering if this is happening to others. I like to chill and game without constantly moving |
